I plan to pay a lot more attention now. There are a lot of QB's this year, so IMO this is the year to use a 1st rounder on a QB, unless somehow you fell in love with a QB that we can get in the 2nd round.

Thanks for a great thread.

Tier 1 we have no shot at but maybe might get if teams we play win and things go sideways.

1. Caleb Williams QB/USC
2. Drake Maye QB/UNC

Tier 2 We definitely should draft this guy. He will be in play. We will be able to draft him based where we will be picking. He’s like Patrick Mahomes a guy who you can trade up to get. If you remember the top tier guys were Deshawn Watson and Mitchell Trubisky. The other guy third guy was Patrick Mahomes. Who people were intrigued with based on his workouts and tape what he could do. Andy Reid traded up to get him.

My pick for this guy is Jayden Daniels Quarterback/LSU he does it all. Mobile arm strength arm talent. Accurate. Ability to come back. As we saw with LSU Florida state. Pro offense under Brian Kelly at LSU. Very smart. Can read and process plays.

Huge upside.we talk about play callers. A huge part of Patrick Mahomes becoming a hall of fame player is he went to one of the best coaches in football Andy Reid. One of the best play callers in Football.

Daniels going to Sean Mcvay would be huge for him. With this team the players on the perimeter Nacua Kupp. Daniels with his ability will be a superstar under Stafford learning.

Now that my rant is over.

Third tier guys that people love.

Carson Beck/Quarterback/Georgia.

Everybody calls him Stafford he has elite arm talent. Why not learn from Stafford.

Michael Phenix/Quarterback Washington transfer solid arm. Smooth poised in the pocket. more of a Jacoby Brissett Jeff Blake David Gerard

And Bo Nix Quarterback/Oregon

I like the kid fiery. plays with passion. Fast mobile. Kind of reminds me of Jeff Garcia was supposed to be the great Quarterback at Auburn to take them to the championship. Never panned out. Highlight of his career was beating Justin Herbert as a freshman. Went to Oregon turned his career around. Heisman trophy candidate. Can be a Gardner Minshew Jake Plummer. Under the right coaching like a Mcvay can have a pro bowl career.

Honorable mention DJ Lulilei JAXSOn Dart.

I think Stafford still has maybe 3 years left. He can play till he's 38 or 39. I'd rather they shore up the line. If there is a guy who grades out to be a future cornerstone left tackle for the next decade, I'd prefer going that route.

Drafting a guy when you don't have a line that can protect him only damages the psyche. Look at what the Texans did to David Carr. He never stood a chance. It ruined him. The Panthers have a horrible roster and it just might ruin their top pick Bryce Young.

We do not have a decent offensive line. Its been a struggle to protect the quarterback. And open holes for the running backs. You're never gonna have a consistent offense with a bad line.

Great post. And I value your opinion. I just don’t think Stafford is gonna pull a Brady and play til he’s 38 39. Not gonna happen.

He’s been getting hurt injuries since Detroit. The conclusion thing the thumb injuries.

Stafford and Kelley she had a lot of concerns last season and was very adamant on her podcast.

He has a ton of money and a super bowl ring. I see him playing 3 more seasons. We will compete.

Just cause I mention Jayden Daniels don’t think he’s gonna come in and start right away. This is a complicated offense he has to learn it. He’s not gonna play right away. But it would be good to have this guy.

And I get your logic. But the only elite tackle I see is the Penn State Tackle. He’s an Orlando Pace grade. Can you get him at 8 nope 5 nope. That’s where we will be drafting.

He’s going top 2 or 3 to Arizona or New York.

So outside of him you don’t have to reach for a tackle at that early round 1.

Havenstein and Notebloom has been admirable as a left tackle. and our guard who we got from TCU second round looks like one of the best young guards in the league. We are fine getting more lineman mid round.

After all the Quarterback stuff I’d like to get this guy and mold him. Patrick Mahomes at Texas Tech was a star you just wanted to see what he could be. That’s what I want us to do with Jayden Daniels.

Whoever we draft at QB, I'd like to see him sit and watch Stafford for a season or two. I think next season is Staffords last.

If both Caleb Williams and Drake Mate are gone, I'd prefer we go OT, if Joe Alt, or Olumuyiwa Fashanu, is there. Since we are drafting at 7, Kool-Aid McKinstry CB Alabama, may be the way to go, or trade down.

Fixed it for you.

If we are drafting at 7, I'd take a LT. If those top 2 are gone, I'd take the TE from Georgia.

Is the season over? Did I miss something?

Do you guys think you won't have enough time to debate the offseason once we are actually in the offseason and actual know where we draft?

Rams fans are giving up in droves and hoping for a tank. Reminder: college QBs - even extremely highly regarded college QBs - fail regularly in the NFL.

I will quit when it's official. Not one minute before. Seems like we have a bunch of "fans" who quit early on the Rams.

That's your choice, but I stay until the final whistle and won't leave early to beat the traffic.
