Keep your fingers crossed. Morris till has a shot.

Per ProFootballTalk:

A few days ago, Colts owner Jim Irsay said it would be days, not hours before his team found a new head coach.

The club still may not be ready for a hire. But Indianapolis is at least getting tangibly closer to a choice.

According to separate reports from Albert Breer of SI.com and Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the Colts have informed Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan and Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka that they’re out of the running for the job.

Earlier on Friday, Mike Silver of the San Francisco Chronicle reported Giants defensive coordinator Wink Martindale has also been informed he won’t be the next Colts coach.

The Colts are going through an extensive interview process, speaking with more than a dozen people for the job. There is still a chance the club could end up hiring interim coach Jeff Saturday. Or one of the coordinators in the Super Bowl could make a lasting impression that leads Indianapolis to make a hire — much like the Colts did after the Eagles beat the Patriots in Super Bowl LII.

Are you hoping they hire Morrise because (1) you want him to leave, (2) you want the Comp pick we'd get if he's hired as a HC, or both?

According to DaSilva, 5 left:

That leaves Morris as a finalist for the gig. Shane Steichen, Jeff Saturday, Rich Bisaccia and Aaron Glenn are also in contention for the job, making Morris one of the final five.

Some think it is Shane Steichen and that the Colts are waiting for the Super Bowl. I cannot wait to cheer against every game the Colts play next season.

I much rather keep Morris is this cycle, losing Morris this late with the amount coaches and staff that would follow him would really hurt the Rams.

If we can get a quality replacement, doesn't have to be a big name (like when we had Staley), then yes. Comp pick is a bonus.

For me, I like what Morris did for our Defense, but I feel he deserves another shot to be a Head Coach.

I think Raheem is valued as much more than just a DC with the Rams. Players on both sides of the ball seem to lean on him. And more importantly he keeps McVay grounded.

Indy is slowly inching their way up my contempt meter.
1. = SF
2. = NE
2a= SEA
3. = DAL
4. = NO
5. = INDI (and rising fast.)

They likely aren't hiring Jeff Saturday unless one of those coordinators in the Super Bowl aren't interested in going to Indianapolis.

The longer they don't hire Raheem, the more it seems obvious he's not their first choice. He could be their 2nd choice though and I'm sure he'd take it anyway.

Funny how we all hated on Raheem's soft shell zone D, but as soon as he might be gone (especially since Evero, Fangio and Flores were hired elswhere) many are now worried about losing him. :?
