I was looking at him as a possible replacement for Morris if he is hired away from us. If he does get, say the Colts job, that is one less qualified replacement off the market.

What others would be good for us?

Evero it is then.
Although didn't we put up 50 on those guys with our 2nd string?

Has anyone hired Flores yet?

They just quit. More of a reflection of the head coach I think.

Evero is maybe in play for AZ and Indi HC gig and also some talk Payton might want to keep him in Denver.

I'm not sure what i'm hoping for DC wise. Since the defense has been varying degrees of good going back at least through Gregg Williams/Wade/Staley/Raheem, i'm not sure how much it matters...

I just disliked the soft shell zoner. If they could get more violent pressure from the front 4 then it can work. A lot of teams are keeping the ball in front of them now so if it's Morris, then hoping they fill in and notch up the pressures.
The only guy out of that group who was nasty and made you not want to play against them was Williams although his D units weren't ranked as high nor did his teams do as well.

Williams' defenses were plenty good, i remember at least one year top 5 in offensive points allowed. Those teams had no offense.

But i'm not sure that philosophy flies anymore. It's the Buddy Ryan school of stopping the run at all costs, force them to throw and then beat up the QB. The rules have changed and teams are much better at passing the ball nowadays. That's why we see so much more shell. It's maddening but it makes sense and, for the most part, works...
