Watching his show today, he believes last night, Baker got a second chance for a starting deal from some other team. He believes the Rams benefit with a decent comp pick. Now for the bizarre stuff.

He says the Rams will trade Ramsey for a 1st round pick. That would be shocking until you look at his cap hit next year. 7 TDs allowed, some stupid penalties now and then....is that what you want for that money? I realize he's a great tackler and always game but his value won't be higher than it is right now. And don't forget, they traded Peters right before they got Ramsey.

Personally, I'm ambivalent on that prospect. Might even lean towards "okay" for a first and a second.

Thoughts?

I've been calling for that trade for weeks. He'll burn us when we play his next team of course. Revenge games are a bitch. But we HAVE to get something for him while we can, because he just isn't performing at all anymore. Maybe it's the scheme, but I think he's just lost a step, or lost interest. For a first!?! Absolutely!!

I say trade him. As Al Davis use to say, better to trade them one year too early than one year too late. Besides, he's been on the down slope for a year.

I wouldn't rule it out. If it gave us the ability to fill two major needs (i.e. OL, EDGE) with top 50 picks, plus cleared some cap room for a FA or two, it could be worth considering.

Dumb idea, but it's Cowherd, so not a surprise. First there's cap reality. Traded before June 1, it would be $14.6M in net dead money next year. To me, that's not palatable given the Rams' cap situation. Traded after June 1, it would be $8.8M in cap savings next year, but $11.4M in dead money in 2024. That might be palatable if the Rams were in rebuild mode. They're not. Also, rarely see big post June 1 trades as teams usually want to make big deals in the prior period to potentially gain draft capital for that year and/or be in the FA period to fill the resulting void.

Second, Ramsey is the only Rams secondary player that could be rated as even above average. The rookie DBs have looked ok, but that speaks volumes about the vets behind them (Long, Rochelle). Hill, Long, Scott and Rapp are all UFAs. Trade Ramsey and IMO, Rams would have a secondary that would need entirely rebuilt before the 2023 season.

Ramsey is a somewhat declining superior athlete with great instincts and body control. He tackles hard and concerns OC's & OP's.

It would depend on who and what we got but I still like him on our side. Too much transition on our side right now. I'm afraid they could lose our compass. With MCV there I doubt it happens but that's not even a guarantee.

Uhh sans for 2 plays, and he had really good coverage on the first one, he was a stud last night. He was in man coverage on DA almost all night. That said, would depend on the return in a trade and as I Cold stated, the cap hits are significant. I see a restructure before a trade. But ya never know. MCV says he loves the guy. Not sure if that factors. It’s business.

Jourdan said in her 11 Personnel podcast a week back that she expects some radical (paraphrasing) moves by the Rams this off-season. Whatever that means.

If there is a 14 mil cap hit for trading him I don't see the value in it. Unless the Rams are in rebuild mode and want more draft capital. But I don't think that is the case. I think they want to reload for another run.

I'd move him to safety and let Rapp go. Jalen would be an awesome safety. He's lost a step on his elite speed.
