If you haven’t listened to the Tremaine Anchrum presser today, I highly recommend you do. This cat is very smart to go along with a ton of strength and power and athleticism. He is hungry. They way he describes Colman Shelton and the confidence he has in him at center was really cool to hear. I think those two are going to open a lot of eyes Sunday. I think Shelton was our best Lineman against the Bills. And, I think the combo of Shelton and Anchrum is going to really help the run game. Not sure how they will be in pass pro but I am more excited than concerned. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if this combo stays in the starting lineup. All they need to do is dominate Atlanta and build from there. I’m also not concerned if Boom can’t go and A Jax starts at LT. I think he too will surprise people and will do a very good job there.

We will see. But I am actually fired up about this new OL, even if it’s temporary.

I think by adding Anchrum, there will be more beef in the middle and sliding Shelton to Center.

Once again, in the first week with Allen and Shelton,

both are on the smaller size.

those guys don't carry enough beef in the middle,

We need to have two beefy guards, then we can have a smaller in size as a center.

But when you have two smaller guys next to each other,,,

that where we get hurt in the middle. IMO

I would like to see A Jax at LT, give him a try if Note is not ready.

He is another big LT, that can open up holes in the run game,

The key is if he can hold off the speed rushers.

I feel pretty good about Shelton at Center and Anchrum at RG. My guess is Anchrum is better than Allen as an OL.

Biggest issue is LT and how poorly Edwards played without Whit next to him.

If Anchrum comes in and plays well, it could be indicative of a couple of things:

1. Perhaps he is a better option going forward, and
2. He may be more ready to play than the starters due to his numerous preseason snaps.

Looking for the bright side, maybe this becomes a situation in which an injury leads to the realization that a young player deserves a bigger role (much like Greg Gaines established himself, in large part, due to SJD's injury).

I think they guys can play, will see on Sunday, Atlanta is playing physical, it will be a good test.

Hopefully the Rams practiced some quick game and most importantly get the running game going early.

As my friend was pointing out at the game, the Rams are more of a pass to setup the run team than the other way around. I think all these first down runs are a waste but i would not put my opinion over McVay and the rest of the Ram coaches...

A lot of smart peeps here so riddle me this: Has a team ever went "all in" on their O Line at the expense of other positions? In my mind, if you had a total elite O line that just ate up Cap space, you could have just guys at many other offense positions and be very productive. At least in my simple mind.
