When it is all said and done, the NFL is an ENTERTAINMENT BUSINESS and the NFL just made an extraordinarily huge investment in the Rams and Los Angeles. Hence, our offense will get fixed, we will get the QB we need, and we will start winning quickly. The NFL will do WHATEVER it takes to make this happen. Even if it means another team owner agreeing to a trade, including draft picks or other, to make sure the Rams get the talent they need to be successful quickly.

The owners understand that having the Rams win is essential for the long term success of the league, and to make a major step forward toward their $25Bil in annual revenues. Money is more important than short term wins for other teams, so other owners will step up to the plate and make sacrifices, as necessary, to ensure the long term financial success of the league.

Just look at the mocks so far. We have 3 mocks all indicating that the Rams get a major QB at 15

So, even if other teams don't trade a draft pick with us so we can move up, they may decide to forego selecting a QB so that there is one still available to as at 15. Is this collusion? YES. But who would ever be able to prove it.

I'm am not the least bit concerned about our ability to make the playoffs. It's our destiny because it helps the league grow, and helps line the owners' pockets.

Well, I will say there will be more than a few Super Bowls at Stan's new Palace.

However, I'll, respectively, disagree that teams will help the RAMS become playoff caliber. The owners of the other teams don't care about the RAMS, they care about their teams. As long as Stan is selling out the joint then the league will be happy as pigs in slop.

I have this weird gut feeling you are right on this. However, if LA is so important, why did the other owners let Georgia run the 1990-1994 Rams into the ground?

Different time, different commissioner and a lot of different owners. The NFL's income level in 1994 was less as a group than their current TV contract with just one of the networks. The finances of the NFL have exploded over the last 20 years and they see that prize pot growing. The best way to get a jump on this was to put a team back in LA before the next TV and Labor deals are done.

I'm a little skeptical that the field will be tilted in the Rams' favor. The NFL benefits when the Dallas Cowboys are winners, but Jerry Jones gets no favors.

I think the proper slant is, now that Stan has this huge investment in LA, the financial power of one of the world's richest men will be geared toward making the Rams winners.

wish i could agree with the op but i can't, it will be business as usual once the draft approaches, and up to the rams, and only the rams, to field a competitive team...
