So I was listening to Bernie M. this Morning..

Well, not that long actually..lol. He was tripping on Fisher knowing about the stadium before the season started this year, and yet said to the media that he knew nothing about LA..Well, I always considered "nothing about LA", meant the machinations of Stan Kroenke in getting the team there. One reason that I can think that Fisher would be consulted, was the new electronic socreboard as a member of the Competition Committee. Fisher was quoted before Jerry's World was built, that his scoreboard night become a problem (HC of the Titans)..Anyway, Bernie went on to say that he knew continued sniping on the Rams instead of just letting them go, makes one look small....then he continued sniping about how everyone in the NFLare a bunch of liars...lol

Then I switched to 710 ESPN in LA, and they are talking QB possibilities for the Rams....MUCH better.

Who were they conversing about as possibilities?

Name a coach who doesn't lie to the media. They are like politicians. They all lie.

So what. It's Fisher's job to protect his team and players from the media. Who cares if he lied to them. He's not on the witness stand.

So the NFL is filled with a bunch of liars. Big surprise there.

One of the guy's was in Houston as a broadcaster when Keenum was down there..Said Keenum was your guy if you need him to fill in for a few games..steady..Not for 16 games. They mentioned RG3 as a strong possibility for the excitement factor. It was funny in that they described the possible fan reaction because it was true..Griffin comes in and they remember the guy that took the Skins to the playoffs in year one..and his exciting play that year..and that the change of teams might invigorate his career..Essentially fans would talk themselves into believing in him, until he took the team to 4-12.....They said he would inspire people to buy tickets in any case, which I agree. They also said that you can't call a possible 3rd string QB "RG3"...Bobby would be more appropriate..lol

Seriously considering RG3, I would think about it if he wasn't asking for crazy money. Also, if he passed a physical with Rams Doctors....It would be crazy seeing him, Tavon Austin, and Todd Gurley and a new 1st round , #1 WR on the field together....

I think the Rams would be better off learning from the Redskins. It's not like they didn't have any talent around him there and they had coaches more imaginative than what the Rams have got.

The problem is, RGIII wants to be a pocket passer. He doesn't want to run and hurt his knees again. That's why Shanahan was fired. The Redskins then brought in 2 different coaches who were RGIII approved and both couldn't get him going.

Maybe his career can be resurrected but does anyone think Fisher's uber-conservative, unimaginative offense would be the catalyst?

Funny, I see it totally different. Way I see it, RGIII was rushed back too early and couldnt use his legs, and was forced to be a pocket passer. Not by choice but necessity.

And there it is.
Fisher can make Rodgers and Brady look mortal

Well RG has been a big flop. Shined at times, but really stunk it up. A lot like Vick or Ryan Fitzpatrick for that matter.

I was talking about after his rookie year. Everything I've read suggests he was in Snyder's ear about getting rid of Shanahan. Shanahan wanted him to use his legs but RGIII wanted to become a pocket passer. He doesn't want to be a running QB and the subsequent coaches who have been brought in to make him one, have either failed or given up.

If true, which I think is very likely, RGIII is pretty worthless as a QB. His strength is threatening the defense with his legs and then passing off of that. The problem is, RGIII, as good of a runner as he might be, doesn't know how to take a hit. He doesn't get taken down, he doesn't get tackled. He gets CRUSHED. Just about every time he runs, if he doesn't get out of bounds, he just gets blasted. It's almost uncanny. So, I understand his desire to just be a pocket passer but that's not his game.

If he isn't scaring the crap out of the defense by threatening to run, the passing game doesn't open up enough to where he can be successful. Maybe he can keep getting better as a passer. His completion % in limited play last year was pretty good so, I don't know, maybe?

But all of that's just the onfield stuff. Would anyone want RGIII in LA? Dude seems to have a diva complex already so I can't imagine putting him in Tinseltown as a plus.

I know he was in Snyder's ear, but I thought that had more to do with Shanahan not liking the public airing of dirty laundry, and RGIII penchant for being in the media. Seemed to me they were fine when winning, but when the knee wasnt right, neither was his play. That injury takes more than a year to heal
In any event, I hear what you're saing, I just remember it different. Thought it was more personal related.

I'm not a fan, but I would gladly take RGIII over the dumpster fire we have at QB right now

I understand the desire but just because we're desperate, I still don't want to make a desperate move. I just can't get behind guys that have issues above the neck. I don't care what his physical skills are. If they do sign RGIII, I hope all the press is wrong but it's hard to ignore right now. Just because you need a QB doesn't mean you ignore everything else and go out and sign Jeff George.
