The Second Team In

Interesting stuff going on here.

Kroenke and the Rams are doing everything they can to establish themselves as quickly as possible in L.A. while also saying how much they welcome a 2nd team. And of course they have to, that's the deal they made.

But are the Rams speaking with their actions, telling the Chargers and Raiders they're already too late and too far behind?

Spanos seems to be an incompetent failure. He balked at Farmers' and how he's apparently balking at Inglewood.

Obviously it would be great for the Rams to be the only team but if another team is coming, i'd much rather The Chargers than the Raiders. We sell them short but the Raiders have huge following in L.A. When the Rams were in Anaheim and the Raiders were at The Coliseum, they were the dominant team in L.A. They got more media coverage and they had more fans in the sports bars. No doubt it would be different with the Rams in L.A. proper this time but the Raiders are a force to be reckoned with here and i'd rather the Rams not reckon with it.

So ideally, the Raiders will make a deal in Oakland or somewhere else while the Chargers are still on the clock and then the Chargers will stay in SD.

But if someone is coming, i want it to be the Chargers...

A 2nd team would make Rams tickets easier to get. I'm all for it.

Honestly I don't mind bc the Rams will rule and the Chargers will be the like the Clippers/Ducks/Angeles.

I'm still going to say it's 1 team in but who knows man.

Personally, I'd like to see the Raiders move-in. I think LA would become a rockin football town again, and a lot of new money would come into the area. Economically great for so many of the people who live in that area.

Well, Kroenke isnt trying to sell flash with Fisher/Keenum and now a commitment to Boras.

No flash yet. I hope neither come but I agree with Elvis, I'd rather have the Chargers. As long as they leave Fabiani in San Diego... oh and give us Phillip Rivers as part of the deal.

Well, let's give it some time and I believe Boras has plenty of flash!

I don't understand how Davis can afford to move to San Diego, for either the stadium or the relocation fee. Where is the extra money coming from?

OOOO wouldn't that be a coup. Stan negotiates it in part of the co-ownership deal. I would shit myself if he pulled that off. Highly unlikely, but plausible. We know Stan is a silent assassin when it comes to negotiations.

How can either the Chargers or Raiders afford Inglewood? Unless it's as a tenant that is..but $550 million to gain %25 of your market is just insane (Chargers).
