Let me get this straight. McVay is on the record saying the toughest defense he has had prepare for was the Vic Fangio style defense so he get Staley to be his Defensive
Coordinator.

He needs a new DC and he get Morris who does not run the Fangio defense and does not have an accomplished track record of being good.

This defense sucks, you can put lipstick on a pig and it’s still a pig you can acquire all the players you want but they’re still a bunch of pigs

Morris needs to take a long walk over a short bridge...

Morris is, by far, the worst D coordinator in the league. Complete clueless idiot. Can’t even stop a run or run a blitz. Idiot

Morris is not gonna be fired mid season. We're just gonna have to accept our defense isn't good. And hope our offense gets a lot better.

as i said on the (discord chat) tonite, dude is in "way above his pay grade".. this is our "achilles heel" this year (smh)

I've never been a fan of the 3-4, it's easy to run on that kind of front. This team lacks a true NT and MLB.

On the plus side, Fangio may be available in a couple months…

To me, Raheem Morris is a fraud.
He definitely is a smart political in-fighter, who seems to get NFL jobs....
that are way over his head.
Raheem IMO is just Aaron Kromer, with better podium presence....but with no real system expertise.

....IMO Raheem Morris has absolutely no magic bullet formula to fix our 2021 D.

He is no Buddy Ryan NFL Defensive Visionary in the least.
Raheem Morris inherited the best D in the NFL in 2020.....but of course, that was running Staley's (a la Fangio's) system.

AND NOW....
Look at Los Ramos 2021 D under Morris's tutelage....with AD, Jalen Ramsey, Leonard Floyd, Darious Williams, Fuller, Rapp, et al....

....and a 3-win team like the 49ers run the ball down our throats...
