I know i'm a glutton for punishment but this isn't going away. It's an important topic, especially for those of us who go to games.

So here's the deal, if the thread starts to go off topic, i'm just gonna delete the offending posts, no warning no friendly reminders. We have plenty of topics in general discussion to take this subject in other directions if that's what you wanna do.

We've all just gone through one of the most restrictive times in a century +. Now those restrictions are beginning to lift slowly and cautiously . So if these measures help lead to an end of restrictions overall, and more quickly, I'm for it. It does sound discriminatory but it does allow for people to weigh their options and choose what is more important to them now. Hopefully this is short lived all around...

Good policy for the Raiders. It provides folks a choice with reasonable outcomes for either choice.

My 17 yr old grandaughter brought the subject up a few months back. She thinks it's a Hipaa violation to ask for proof. What say you? I'm fine with it, but I think there's some validity to her point. According to the Hipaa rules, it doesn't seem to be a violation but it put's the question out there whether it's ethical or not for an entity to ask you.

Not a lawyer but I don’t think HIPA it applies for two reasons.

1) no agency is disclosing your private health information.

2) you are disclosing your information or not. If you do not disclose you are not allowed into a private event/activity/service that has the right to refuse service for any reason.

I don’t think ethics apply because you have the option to not go. If you are forced to go or lose a public right (or inalienable right, attending football is not) due to release of private health/medical reasons, then it becomes an ethical issue.

Not HIPA, but it’s possible to establish a legal case for season ticket holders because vaccine requirement was not listed in the terms of the psl or season tickets. Though in that case, the Raiders are allowing a extension of annual rights and probably will also allow permanent termination and refund.

Teams are going to have to make this call soon if they’re going to allow season ticket holders to tap out and not have it be messy.

Not every health info question is a HIPAA violation.
