That this time next week, there will be a decision made, and the future will begin?
On one hand, I dont think this that big of a deal to the average NFL fan, other than fans of the involved teams, I truly believe most fans dont know or care.
However on the other, does the NFL want any spotlight taken off the playoffs??
My fear is that they will want to delay the info until after the Conference championships where the info can harmlessly get lost amongst Superbowl mania

I think with players and families being uprooted they will have to announce it. Plus with merchandise now changing to LA and logos this takes time to happen. They cannot wait.

I hope they come to a decision next week. A year is long enough to drag this out.

I believe the way this goes down is that the Rams and Chargers get approved to relocate and this automatically breaks the Spanos/Davis partnership. Spanos has to take Kroenke on. Day 2 will be figuring the venue.

That would make sense. Dont know how they magically make that work though
If I had my way, they approve Rams/Chargers, Rams to LA in 2016, Chargers stay put until 2017. San Diego gets time to put public vote together, and they end up building stadium.
In the meantime, Oakland makes deal at Levi and Khan moves Jags to St Louis in 2020

For Spanos its all about blocking Stan K. But the only way he can go about it is to get there ahead of Stan and convince the other owners his team is the best fit. But two things wrong with that. He doesn't have the resources to make it successful as Stan. And his team is not the area's favorite. So it makes more sense to either allow Stan's team as the only one or partner those two together. Spanos doesn't want a partnership because like I said, its all about blocking Stan. He'd be fine going back to SD if he knew Stan couldn't get approval to move to LA.

Personally, I think the owners will try and convince him a partnership is the best avenue. But like that Plasche article in another thread said, he would be second fiddle to the Rams like the Angels are to the Dodgers and the Clippers are to the Lakers.

They will announce:

1. Rams get approval to move immediately.
2. Chargers get approval (now) to move when CoC is open
3. Raiders get money for new stadium in Oakland.

They'll make a decision next week. By waiting it will take the spotlight off the playoffs. There's no need at all to delay. They have all of the information that they need. It's already dragged out much longer than it needed to be.

Pay the Raiders off and put the Rams and Chargers in the best stadium plan that's ready to be built.

I guess When they announce, whatever they announce, will be spun in a most positive way I'm sure.
And the majority of the NFL fan base will buy whatever they sell.
