NEW YORK - The Chargers, Raiders and Rams all must agree to a series of requirements set by three NFL committees on Wednesday in order to be eligible for relocation to Los Angeles, the Register has learned.

The three franchises must submit documents verifying the teams' commitments to those requirements by the end of the week.

The NFL's Los Angeles, finance and stadium committees will then determine if the teams are eligibile for a relocation vote next week in Houston.

The NFL also set a relocation fee of $550 million per team, based on present-day dollars.

The league will begin a series of votes Tuesday in Houston. The first votes will be on the requirements, then on the relocation fee. Finally, it is expected to hold a relocation vote, which likely will be on Wednesday.

Among the requirements the teams must agree to are the relocation fee, moving procedures and guaranteeing an opening date for the new stadiums. Documentation on those requirements will be presented to the committees, which will determine if the teams are eligible for relocation.

The Los Angeles committee then will make a recommendation on which team or teams should be approved for relocation.

There is a growing sentiment among all three committees that a St. Louis taskforce's proposal for a $1 billion riverfront stadium to keep the Rams in place is not viable.

The committee meetings lasted approximately eight hours.

Stan K is probably the only who can satisfy all three of those requirements without much difficulty. Lookin better and better all the time.

"Among the requirements the teams must agree to are the relocation fee, moving procedures and guaranteeing an opening date for the new stadiums. Documentation on those requirements will be presented to the committees, which will determine if the teams are eligible for relocation".

This does not bode well for Carson.

This could bode poorly for ESK... Or will it?

One of the requirements is likely playing in London in each of the years they are in the temporary stadium, as hinted by the Rams relocation.

The biggest question is the guaranteed opening date in terms of Carson, due to the extra steps they need. However Inglewood said 2019 as well, so that might make things more even.

This caught my eye. I thought there would be some fighting for St. Louis. It looks like Stan made his argument and it's a good one.

If StL is NOT viable, then we have to be one of the teams approved.
