Frank Cusumano Breaks Down St. Louis' NFL Future in In-Depth Report

The city of St. Louis' NFL future could be decided in less than a month when owners gather Jan. 12 and 13 for an expected vote to determine what teams - or teams - will relocate to Los Angeles.

If owners approve Rams owner Stan Kroenke to relocate, it will be the second - and possibly final - time in less than 30 years St. Louis loses an NFL team.

On Sunday, The Press Box's Frank Cusumano - working his other job as sports reporter for KSDK - released an in-depth report on the topic.

Cusumano and KSDK photographer Bill Zurheide spent time researching, interviewing and logging old tapes. They also talked with reporters who covered the happenings of when St. Louis lost the Cardinals and the negotiators who brokered the controversial lease the Rams still operate under.

Who the heck was responsible for the accounting with regard to maintenance, upgrades, analysis, construction cost and such when it came to the TWA EJD dome and the top tier requirements? Who ever that person/entity was, as the one who was supposed to implement it,, they fell flat on their face.

I honestly don't believe they felt their stadium would be obsolete in 20 years and that is why they agreed to that caveat in the lease. However, in that time many stadiums were built and not just stadiums more like cathedrals. That is why IMO, the Rams must move because if they stay in St. Louis they will be stuck in a two bit riverfront stadium in a second tier market or they could be playing in the best venue in the NFL in one of the premier markets in the USA.

Kroenke and Los Angeles were tailored made for each other and I believe the owners supporting Spanos who are Octogenarians with Troglodyte Ideologies wil not stop this magic from taking place and becoming a reality.
