We have squat inside that does anything close to what CL does. And the deal will be cheaper inside than outside. Fowler, 1 good season. CL every season as a Ram has been good, and improving. We just gushed and went over the top (especially on Goff, IMHO) and did nothing for Cory until now, when we have too. He is the exact type of player to look at extending a year early to a) give him lifetime security and b) give us a better deal. Why would Cory offer us any discount now? I think he's a top 5 ILB when you look at how many turn overs he creates too.Fowler is very good, but he IS playing next to the best DT in NFL history.
