Temporary Home

I was just wondering, has any of the three teams even made arrangements with the Coliseum or any other place to play while their stadium is being built? You would think some kind of arrangement would have been made by now. Does anyone have any info about this. This could be a sign in itself of who is going to make a move of some sort.

The coliseum has said no to the Raiders. Pat Haden had come out once and said he's had positive discussions with one team about temporary hosting. With his obvious ties to the Rams it's been speculated that we are the team he talked to. But other than them saying one team could use the stadium as a temp site nothing has been set in writing.

Thanks, I guess that's something we should watch.

From the for what it's worth file,, a gal friend of mine works at the Coliseum and told me 2 years ago that she saw Rams officials there working out details about parking and concessions. Just hearsay but she is trustworthy and only told me because she knows I am a huge Rams fan.

I had forgotten that we have that inside connection thru Pat Hadden. Perhaps he'll finally be useful to the Rams organization, 'cause he wasn't as a QB... that for sure.

Most assume it was the Rams but Farmer reported the Chargers had reached out:
http://www.latimes.com/sports/nfl/la-sp ... story.htmlThe Rose Bowl bowed out of the interim stadium derby, but the Coliseum is still in play. The NFL shouldn't have much trouble striking a deal there, as the Chargers quietly got far down the road in negotiations with that venue last year.
The Coliseum could be a two-year home for either the Rams or the Chargers, but USC would probably object to bringing back the Raiders.Anyway, at this point, the NFL has allegedly taken over the temporary stadium issue and, so far, only the Coliseum is a go...

Negotiations have been ongoing with both the Rams and surprisingly the UCLA Bruins.
