But that is unlikely in this instance. The NFL could deny that team any financial help in building the stadium,(STAN WONT NEED WELFARE MONEY) withhold the right to host Super Bowls,(LEAGUES LOSS),and take other measures to make it an unsavory option(WHATEVER...STAN IS SO SCARED . by snackdaddy 9 years 6 months ago Total posts: 10049 Joined: May 30 2015 Merced California Hall of Fame Re: Rogue is Vogue POST #2 I believe Stan is playing nice to show the league a spirit of compromise. He offered them an opportunity to share his stadium. Spanos shot it down. Stan's got this vision for a venue that would be matched by no one. He's got the tools to get it done. Spanos has tried to block him every step of the way. Stan shows compromise. Spanos won't budge. Max mentioned this in another thread. You have 3 markets trying to keep their teams from going to LA. Even the most staunch homer for their town has to admit St. Louis is the least value of those markets. Yet, some of these owners want to abandon the two more valuable markets to appease Spanos. It doesn't make sense financially. How is the moral among the 32 owners? They sure don't seem like one well oiled machine. They've splintered off into different factions with all of this. Its crazy. Like a bunch of school kids divided on the playground. They won't come together for a common good because of one kid who has caused all of this division. But in the end, Stan has shown he's willing to work with anyone. Yet, the other side won't budge. So what does he do? Everything I've read or heard about him doesn't indicate a guy willing to take the short straw and learn to live with it. I just can't see him going back home with his friends and accepting the loss. I believe he's biding his time. Waiting for the process to play itself out. If he wins, great. He'll build something the league has never seen and will be overjoyed to have. Believe me, his plan is clearly the best one. If he loses, well, I think he'll start showing he ain't the kind of guy you can push around on the playground. He'll sue for colusion. Even if the league punishes him by not awarding a superbowl, they'll get used to the idea of the Rams in LA within a couple years. The memory of St. Louis will fade. They'll forgive him and he'll get a superbowl. Might take a few more years, but they'd be stupid not to. by azramsfan93 9 years 6 months ago Total posts: 1562 Joined: Jun 30 2015 Chandler, Arizona Pro Bowl Re: Rogue is Vogue POST #3 snackdaddy wrote:If he loses, well, I think he'll start showing he ain't the kind of guy you can push around on the playground. In the real world, the loser doesn't get the big prize and the winner goes home empty. ESK will not be happy if he loses Inglewood.Spanos will be unhappy if Stan gets Inglewood. Davis seems neutral despite remaining aligned with Carson. So how do all 3 guys come away happy? Answer this and problems solved.Davis has said he would prefer a new stadium in Oakland. So help him achieve that and that is one happy owner.Spanos has said he would prefer a new stadium in Downtown SD. So help him achieve that and that is a second happy owner. Oh but wait,,, No. He doesn't want the Rams in LA again either. This is an impossible bridge to cross, so either he takes LA, stays home and blocks ESK or he isn't going to be completely happy.ESK has invested and pushed hard for Inglewood. If he get's blocked into StL he will not be happy. He want's LA alone so a compromise to share his stadium will mean he likely isn't completely happy either. But he is willing to accept it.SD might have a solution in 6 months time,, so this rush to LA seems unwise. Spanos has screwed the pooch a number of times when he had a chance which should be considered. But now is what matters so, with the factors as they are, either wait another year or give ESK LA with a predetermined acceptable deal with Spanos to take part ownership of CoC if SD fails. Oakland gets the jack through relocation penalty fees to make the numbers work for Alameda. You can bet ESK will then go to battle for Spanos in SD to get a deal done there so he can keep LA for himself. As a result, Spanos is almost completely happy, Davis is happy and ESK is happy even though Spanos got over on him to some degree (and might end up sharing).Otherwise if ESK is blocked, and the Charaiders get into Carson, all 3 teams and owners will be playing in their 2nd choice location and you have 3 fan bases livid at the NFL (the 3rd being LA Rams fans). But StLoo will be happy the cheated their way into keeping our team,, again. But StLoo will be happy the cheated their way into keeping our team,, again.Right, California gets 3 new stadiums that can all host super bowls.
