POST #1 TOPIC AUTHOR I have been a Rams fan for close to 50 years, they were some of my hero's growing up. I have stood by them through thick and thin, All I have done is defend this team all these years. If the NFL screws us I think I'm done with this team, poor play and now this has worn me thin. I always thought that if I gave up on them I could turn to the Chargers, but that's not going to happen now. I'm planning on moving to Big Bear, Ca this summer from Washington state and was looking forward to seeing the Rams in familiar (and friendly) territory for a change, now that's not looking so good. Unless L.A. gets a expansion team I may be a fan without a team. Thanks NFL for jerking us around!!! by SoCalRam78 9 years 6 months ago Total posts: 1087 Joined: May 25 2015 SoCal Pro Bowl Re: Is it time for a change? If the Rams don't move back, it feels like they've been taken a second time. And for what, friggin St. Louis of all places? St. Louis is a bad NFL market. The stadium sucks, people are apathetic towards football, nationally it gets zero recognition unless the team is in the Super Bowl.....that's not helping the franchise be successful in any fashion. This is the second time with two different franchises that teams have had to play in front of empty stadiums, first with the Cardinals in the 1980s and now with the Rams. Sure, easy to blame the owners for the fans bad turnout, but maybe the area just doesn't care much about the NFL. Maybe that breeds a losing culture. One of the things that was great about the Rams moving back is that it was undoing of a wrong. The Rams have a 49 year history in so cal, and moving them in 1995 was a league injustice. It would be great to have them back. Means more than the Chargers coming up from SD or the raiders bouncing to and from LA every 20 years. Of course, the NFL could care less. They just want to protect their own interests. The Chargers will fail here, their games will be filled with visiting fans all the time. There are transplants all over LA/OC and the majority of San Diegans will be done with those guys after they move. by Elvis 9 years 6 months ago Total posts: 41516 Joined: Mar 28 2015 Los Angeles Administrator Re: Is it time for a change? I have stood by them through thick and thin, All I have done is defend this team all these years. If the NFL screws us I think I'm done with this team, poor play and now this has worn me thin. I always thought that if I gave up on them I could turn to the Chargers, but that's not going to happen now. I'm planning on moving to Big Bear, Ca this summer from Washington state and was looking forward to seeing the Rams in familiar (and friendly) territory for a change, now that's not looking so good. Unless L.A. gets a expansion team I may be a fan without a team. Thanks NFL for jerking us around!!!We will all meet at the Coliseum very very soon, you can bank on it!Looking forward to attending a game with all of the old diehards here ... just 10months away. POST #7 TOPIC AUTHOR Either way I don't like the game they are playing, they have been using L.A as leverage for too long!! If the Rams stay in St Louis and Carson falls thru, meaning the Chargers and the Raiders stay where they are then all this was for nothing all along, I don't believe Carson is going to happen, its just a ploy By Spanos to keep Kroenke out of L.A. and get what he wants in SD. by SoCalRam78 9 years 6 months ago Total posts: 1087 Joined: May 25 2015 SoCal Pro Bowl Re: Is it time for a change? POST #8 Bob McNair is the sole beneficiary of the LA f up game. As competing interests tripped each other up in 1999, his group was awarded the Texans. Always the case with LA. This time it's friggin Spanos/Carson/Fabiani screwing it up again. Again, privately financed stadium, one of the wealthiest owners in the game, one of the best stadiums in the league, good location, team with roots in LA, and here it is, getting screwed up again. It's like LA is a neglected toy and the little brother only wants it after the big brother starts paying attention to it, it only ends up breaking into pieces after they fight over it. by Stranger 9 years 6 months ago Total posts: 3213 Joined: Aug 12 2015 Norcal Superstar Re: Is it time for a change?
