Jared Goff went entire month of November without a single touchdown pass for Rams

Jared Goff’s fourth season with the Los Angeles Rams has been embarrassing to say the least.

After rewarding Jared Goff with a hefty four-year, $134 million extension in the offseason, the Los Angeles Rams felt confident enough in the former No. 1 pick being able to lead the team to the playoffs for a third year in a row.

Despite Goff and the offense coming up short the way they did in the Super Bowl last February to the New England Patriots, this Rams team still seemed to have the necessary talent to make another run in 2019.

By starting off the year on a hot note with a 3-0 record, this appeared to be the case early on for Los Angeles, although there were some concerns in numerous areas, whether it was the struggles of the offensive line or Todd Gurley taking on a lighter workload.

Still, if Goff could build off his success from last season after setting career highs with 4,688 passing yards to go along with 32 touchdowns, the Rams seemed like they would be able to finish near the top of the NFC once again.

Unfortunately, this may not be the case after all with Los Angeles coming off an embarrassing 45-6 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 12, their fifth loss over the last eight games.

With the Rams sitting at 6-5, the only chance Sean McVay‘s team is going to have at earning a trip to the playoffs will need to come through one of the Wild Card spots since they currently trail the Minnesota Vikings by two games at the moment for the No. 6 seed.

But also, with all of the struggles surrounding Goff and the offense, how are Rams fans supposed to feel confident in their team having what it takes to potentially pull this off?

If fans thought Monday’s results against the Ravens were brutal, just wait until they realize that Goff went the entire month of November without completing a single touchdown pass.

Before any Rams fans get on the defensive side over the fact that Goff and the Rams only played three games in November due to the bye week after their win over the Cincinnati Bengals in London, this is still embarrassing for the Los Angeles quarterback.

Goff can’t even use the excuse of facing three solid defenses in the Ravens, Chicago Bears, and Pittsburgh Steelers can be used as an excuse, because if he were truly that great of a quarterback, at least one touchdown pass should have taken place.

For a quarterback who was already a strong candidate for being considered one of the most overpaid players at the position, this poor play throughout November was the last thing that Goff needed to have on his plate.

Most importantly, since Goff’s inability to find the end zone through the air played somewhat of a role in Los Angeles losing two of three games during November, it’s going to be even more frustrating if the Rams come up just shy of the playoffs.

Just as it was too early to pay Goff when they did, its too early to tell if Goff is worth what he is paid now.

Have a restructure talk with him. He needs an O-Line...we need cap space.

I recalled 2 seasons ago in RAMS vs Seahawks in Seattle, he put on his gloves on BOTH hands to throw because it was ... too cold . I thought it must be a joke. WTF, football is a cold-weather sport , so he's in a wrong profession :o . He misfired during the game, not to my surprise (how the hell you could be accurate when you practiced without gloves, but threw with gloves) . I blamed that on his coach, because they should trained him, told him to tough it up. That was a red flag to me. Then another red flag during the last 2 season, his best 2 seasons, and with a good O-line: His sub par performance on red zone's throwing TD: The RAMS was average in red zone offense during the last 2 seasons. If you don't count Gurley's run TDs in red zones and the kicker's performance in red zone of the last 2 seasons, you could see Goff was bad in red zone. When people blamed on the O-line for his poor performance this season, I don't buy it, because when he had good O-line, he still could not fix the issue. Bad O-line just expose his constant weakness. Another red flag: His throw mechanism: It take too long: By the time he spread his legs, spread his arms, ready to unleash the balls, it's too late, the windows close, especially in the small red zones areas. Another red flag: Telegraph his passes to the defense. I recalled in the game vs Eagles here 2 years ago, I yelled at the tv, "Please don't throw Jared, please don't threw there", because his eyes was locked into the direction, but he threw and guess what, they intercepted it. I hate this the most, because he repeatedly make this mistake.
I blame on the coaches and Snead, because they should know his flaws better than anyone else. Therefore they should beef up the O-line because the guy depends on the O-line much more than average. Instead of doing that, they overpaid him, nothing money left for O-line. I dismayed when I heard the news, and guess who will pay for his bloated salary: the fans. The ticket price will go up to pay for their new contracts. I am upset, because I'm a season ticket holder.

Newsflash. He was never that good. Remember the Atlanta playoff game when he played like shit or the last two months last year. Guy made a couple throws in the NFC title game as people thought he was some god.

He’s been terrible this year even after acknowledging the shortcomings. He has misfired on 6-7 TDs this year. 11/12 TD/INT ratio. Fucking garbage. He’s been inaccurate. Skitterish in pocket. Trading up for him was the first mistake. But he was schemed and coached up. Give em credit. Give mcmartz credit there. But somewhere towards the end of last year he got exposed. The super bowl he lost. He was pathetic that game. Then he gets rewarded with a massive extension for zero reason. If he wasn’t extended he could play out his option or be traded.

Just idiotic. Guy isn’t a leader either. He comes off as soft.
