Couldnt have gone worse, right? Coach looks like a wonderkid who is totally in over his head and was given a job too early for his station in life. Whatever creativity he had for getting guys open is long gone. Goff looks like the second coming of Scott Mitchell (one nice year, gets hefty $, then implodes). Players look like they know they cant win and are just going through the motions. Meanwhile the Whiners and SeaSucks have it going and Rams are nowhere close being able to compete. I do not see how they turn this around as quickly as it fell apart. Their is still a ton of talent on this team, especially at the skill positions. Goff needs to get in the weight room and put on 20 plus pounds if wants to be an elite quarterback, since he is obviously not the mobile type. Hopefully he can become the Roethlisberger type; otherwise he’s going to get hurt. AD needs a book end who demands a double team as well. 1 by moklerman 5 years 7 months ago Total posts: 7680 Joined: Apr 17 2015 Bakersfield, CA Hall of Fame Re: Beyond disgusted - its back to Fisher level bad POST #4 Zen_Ronin liked this post Yeah, nowhere near as bad as the Fisher days(much less the Spagnuolo days). It's one thing to be truly bad and it's another to just not meet expectations. McVay deserves quite a bit of benefit of doubt. While I've been frustrated by his apparent lack of adjustments, I'm beginning to think that he just doesn't have the pieces right now. So, the fact that his system isn't flexible enough to accommodate every scenario, I think he's earned quite a bit of rope before that noose starts tightening. It very much looks like it's the playcalling but there have been plays to be had that have just been missed. McVay needs to find a way to adapt a little more but he needs his guys to execute the plays that are being called more consistently even more so. 1 by Fire407 5 years 7 months ago Total posts: 98 Joined: May 20 2016 LA Coliseum Practice Squad Re: Beyond disgusted - its back to Fisher level bad POST #5 Haden liked this post When they lined up for the first play from scrimmage last night I was hoping they would play action and go deep to Cooks or Kupp. Instead it was a predictable run for little yardage. It's exactly what Jeff Fisher would have done. I thought McVay was better than this.
