This Rams-Bucs game has more meaning than the NFC Championship games in '79 & '99...

Both NFCC games were total slugfests. That 9-0 victory in Tampa was crazy in 79. Who would have thought we could put up so much offense against the Steelers' D just 2-wks later.

Like i said in another thread, this game has the potential to be pathetic and historic at the same time...

Or historically pathetic! Or is that hysterically pathetic?

What keeps me going now is the thought that I get to see them in the Coleseum again next year, and then the new stadium in a couple of years.

We may have to endure one more season of Fisher, but there is no way he remains long term. Unless he somehow totally hands over the offense, includng player personnel decisions, to experienced hands. But by 2018, we'll have a new capable coach, and the envy of the league in terms of venue and location.

So, I'm in it for the long term. I get to relish in the fact that my son will grow up with what I had, the Los Angeles Rams being a bright star in sports.

Here is what I remember about the game in 1979 being only 13 years of age....LT Doug France from The Ohio State University totally stonewalling future hall of famer defensive end Lee Roy Selmon. Greg Robinson could learn a thing or two from France and another Ohio State alum Orlando Pace.
