Was in the car, heard some Rams Talk.

Fred: He's now saying if St. Louis can put a deal on the table (even if it's a bad deal for the Rams) that would be enough for the owners to choose Carson.

But he also had Rob Schaaf on who reitereated that the legislature will not fund any stadium bonds. The part i found newsworthy is Schaaf said he personally spoke to Grubman on the phone and told him very explicitly that the bonds would be worthless.

Fred says that's enough doubt to put Inglewood in play and make Spanos deal with Kroenke.

Also heard a little Scott and BR:

They're loving the Grubman call to Bernie yesterday. I think the best part is them not knowing who Bernie Miklasz is.

Anyway, with Grubman asking to be on the show and then NFL PR promoting the appearance, they think it's a pretty big deal. Scott says Kroenke is an uber rich dude who gets what he wants. He doesn't ask if he can move to L.A., he tells people he's moving to L.A.. And their take is this Grubman appearance is the NFL doing Kroenke's business in making Inglewood happen.

Personally, this is what i think too. But Scott and i have a pretty big emotional investment in wanting Kroenke to succeed...

I knew this was going to start today. just didn't expect it from Fred. We had a lot of noise in our favor yesterday, but beginning with this vote, 2 games in 5 days and the big full BoA vote in a week or so, it is going to be all about StLoo and the task force taking down the giant.

Us LA kooks are in for it. 8-)

I still have the hardest time believing what Fred said. That is as bad a news as pro LA folks could get. They are even posting Fred at the PD. Whether that info is right this time or not remains to be seen.

Tune in tomorrow.

I just don't see how Carson can be ready in 2019 if they don't even have any plans ready going into 2016. Seems like a lot of noise to get Spanos into Inglewood or he can sink the whole ship. I kinda want Kroenke to go rogue now to keep Spanos in SD. So what if he didn't get Super Bowls, he'd own the joint and still make a ton of money.

The way Spanos and StL have gone about this has me hoping for that too. But better yet would be allowed to go with permission after threat of lawsuit or going rogue.

In the real world the losers don't get the big prize and the winners don't sleep with the pigs.

I think during the Jan 12th and 13th meeting, SK will threaten going rogue if he feels like he might need to do it to get to LA. The threat of SK going rogue would make sure the owners/NFL allow the Rams to move to Inglewood.

I think this is pretty much what I said immediately after the interview :)

Yeah, sure, I'll believe it when I see it. The league shafting Kroenke's ready to go 1.8 billion dollar already financed plan so two cheap ass owners can go into massive debt to play in Carson, CA. Also abandoning two long time California markets in the meantime.

I mean who gives a flying f what St. Louis submits, if Carson is so wonderful, why don't they just vote for it?

Predictably after the sham vote today, momentum shifted. Now Vinny B is tweeting about his meeting with Bob Iger.

With less than 5 weeks to a decision, it's amazing how uncertain this thing is.

Just imagine the mess the NFL creates by approving Carson.

Do they have places for the Chargers and Raiders to play in 8 months?
Are they both in the same division?
Are fans going to support both teams?
Will Carson run into environmental problems and delays?
If there are cost overruns (there always are) who is paying for it and how long will it take to get the money?
And there sits Kroenke with all that money, going year-to-year, paying nothing, sitting in the dome as a FA.
And all the while, they are leaving 2 desireable markets empty.

And Roggin has been ignoring these details completely in his recent diatribes. What's up with that?

Yes, it's like the elephant in the room must go unnoticed.

According to wiki the owners rejected Georgia's first request to move to St. Louis by a 21-3-6 vote. Then she threatened to sue. This is what wiki says about that:

Georgia, however, responded with a thinly veiled threat at a lawsuit. The owners eventually acquiesced to her demands, wary of going through a long, protracted legal battle. Tagliabue simply stated that "The desire to have peace and not be at war was a big factor" in allowing the Rams move to go forward. In a matter of a month, the vote had gone from 21–6 opposed to 23–6 in favor. Jonathan Kraft, son of Patriots owner Robert Kraft, elaborated on the commissioner's remarks by saying that "about five or six owners didn't want to get the other owners into litigation, so they switched their votes." Only six teams remained in opposition to the Rams move from Los Angeles: the Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Giants, New York Jets, Buffalo Bills, Arizona Cardinals, and Washington Redskins. After the vote was over, Dan Rooney publicly stated that he opposed the move of the Los Angeles Rams because "I believe we should support the fans who have supported us for years."

Kroenke's gotta know how that went down because he was part of that back then. He knows the owners do not want a lawsuit. I still think he's got the upper hand.
