Hold a special meeting if that is what it takes. Now that SD is making noise let's hope Spanos hears it. This is his last chance to stay in SD if that is really what he wants.
I am encouraged with the "I expect fairly significant development" comment..

Roggin is right. The Chargers are spinning like a top.

They likely prefer LA, but can't be sure they'll get it with Carson. Kroenke is a major threat to that happening. So they are trying to keep SD alive as a fall back position. Spanos could very well prefer SD to playing in Inglewood.

Kroenke is forcing the Chargers and NFL to make decisions quickly.

That looks like one football savvy motley crew. I thought it was reported that GS was going to be there. Aren't they long time business partners with the Chargers. I see it's Citibank attending. hmmm..

Sounds reasonable though i still can't quite let go of the idea that the Chargers really want to be in SD.

If they wanted L.A., why not make the deal with AEG? That was wide open for them, theirs for the taking...

They claim they have been trying for over a decade to get something done. Why didn't Spanos do it? You're right, all AEG needed was a team willing to give up some ownership. I imagine the numbers weren't good enough to have him leave the place his father brought the team. And why didn't they put together their own deal in Carson or where ever all these years.

One thing to remember is the rumor that came out recently as to why Spanos is PO'd at ESK. They had some kind of discussion a few years ago about doing LA (Inglewood together). If true that indicates to me that he has had his eye on LA to some degree.

Perhaps dad is the one who is putting the waffle in Deano. Does he go against his dad's wishes (if)? San Diego is a really great city and it could house Superbowls too.
This thing could become one on one instead of 2 against one if SD brings it and Deano see's the light.

Who knows what Spanos really wants. It's been reported that Jerry Jones said Spanos can't make a decision. That appears to be a true statement by the way Spanos is handling this whole thing.

There is no doubt that Spanos gets hurt if he stays in SD and Kroenke moves to LA. I don't blame him one bit for wanting something to lessen the loss.

I posted my thoughts on ROD 4-5 months ago on what the Chargers endgame is. At least my prediction.

I think they will get a stadium and stay in SD.

Use common sense, if they wanted LA they could of had it all this time.

That being said, I almost guarantee and Sam Farmer thinks this too. That there's no way in hell 2 teams will relocate in LA at the same time. No way you could fill in a stadium for 2 teams at the same time.

My 2 cents and again I called this months ago and I went on record and no I'm not bragging but Spanos and Kroenke are friends and there's no beef. This is all set up so we all think that Carson and Inglewood is a race. I don't buy it.
