But wait a minute now, Shane Gray has "St. Louis Rams" in his twitter handle. Doesn't that make him legit? By the way, he'll most likely be blogging about HS football next year, not covering them for the local rag.

I actually have read very little of his material. I just know that a thread like this would get deleted in many other forum, and probably get you banned. And restraining this type of discussion is what I think has lead to a lot of tension, and flight from other forums. It's too bad, really.

He's on par with Bernie.i stopped participating when he posts something over at ROD because he only acknowledges or responds to people who kiss his ass and tell him how great he is. Ask him an honest question and he ignores you.

Shane is a very polite man but is a total homer.
He has been displaying a great deal of rudeness lately though as I believe he knows the writing is on the wall ,,, but just won't say it outloud.
He has been a big great voice for the St Louis narrative.

It's interesting to think what will happen in St Louis after the Rams leave, media wise....D'Marco Farr is the football guy at 101ESPN..He tries to become knowledgeable about the baseball Cardinals and the Blues, and a some Mizzou stuff...but he is the football guy, despite all of that. Can't see him staying in St Louis sports if the Rams go...Shane? He's all about the Rams, and Jim Thomas, does he get cut loose? The rest of the ass clowns do other sports or mostly baseball

What i find amusing about Shane's response to Kaplan is it's basically just trolling and mockery.

Shane claims to be above it all but in this case he's not...

As I have stated in another thread, I have come to ignore the STL rhetoric. It's virtually irrelevant. The closer we get to January, the more apparent it becomes that STL is a non-discriminator in LA decision.

Shane and the rest of the STL gang are fighting for relevance. Hard to blame them for fighting for what's in their own best interests. They defended the very owner that every LA Rams fan abhorred, Georgia, not because she was a good owner, but because she gave STL a team regardless of her despicable her methods.

I am not sure about Shane's title I do know Bernie has the title of sports columnist or he writes a editorial. Shane appears to write a editorial as well although it seems for some years now the lines between reporting and giving your opinion have become blurred. However through all of this I am not sure if I have read any actual reporter as everything seems to have a opinion attached to the facts. I think the last actual reporting I heard was back in January when like John Clayton said Stan Kroenke has announced he is gonna build a stadium.

That's why Shane's not a reporter.. he fashions everything he writes to support his conclusion that the Rams are staying in Stl.

Vinny and Farmer, for example, will share opinions on things.. typically when asked. But their reporting moves with the ebb and flow of the story. There's a big difference.

Shane's fake-polite, by the way. He's not really polite. Polite people will engage you genuinely, he doesn't.

Oh I agree with your summation of Shane. SLO called him out on RRF and questioned his integrity, a STL member if I recall mentioned something about how we needed to respect fellow members. I opined I believed SLO was in the right and had every right to call Shane out on the carpet and expect a response, because Shane is not a normal member since he profits and monetizes his opinion. So is Shane's opinion biased? Unequivocally so.

I have been reading his stuff for a few years and he used to be respectful but that has changed over the last few months. He's become arrogant and disrespectful. It seems to parallel the increase in his bench press numbers.
