Bummer for the kid. You think your dream could come true than that. Hope it's nothing serious.

Did the Rams Have to Pay Sasser?

I'm think they did.

From CBA 101 http://www.boltsfromtheblue.com/2014/3/ ... -contracts

A player selected in any round must be tendered a 4-year contract for the Minimum Salary.

And from Peter King:http://mmqb.si.com/2014/05/22/nfl-rookie-contract-negotiations/

As for salaries, the vast majority of drafted players have four years of non-guaranteed minimum salaries, accompanied by a signing bonus that’s not negotiated by the agent, but predetermined by the CBA.

This is directly from the CBA:

Section 3. Required Tender: A Club that drafts a player shall be deemed to have au-tomatically tendered the player a four-year NFL Player Contract for the Minimum Active/Inactive List Salary for such League Years. The NFL or the Club shall provide the player with notice of such Required Tender before or immediately following the Draft.

Elvis are you talking to yourself? lol

Sasser being cleared but released isn't a good sign for the kid. I hope he studied more than his playbook at Mizzou. Hoping more for a full healthy life for the kid.

Yeah, pretty much on the talking to myself thing but in this case ii think it's good for Sasser that he got released. He thinks he can play and has some doctors that say he can. The Rams don't agree. They could've kept him under contract and off the field but now he can try and find a team that isn't scared off by the heart issue, if there is one...
