I checked out for awhile when the mods refused to recognize that they were just here to troll Rams fans. Was I proven right about that too?To be fair to Brady, he was a regular at RRF and never really trolled there. I don't know if he came here to troll. But maybe he stopped coming when he tried to say it was proven they didn't tape the walk through before SB36 and Max shot that down. It was never proven true because they destroyed the tapes. Martz's comment about Goodell asking him to deny there was cheating is pretty damning. by rather 5 years 5 months ago Total posts: 349 Joined: Oct 04 2016 LA Coliseum Starter Cheating POST #92 So he wasn't banned and just chose not to show up anymore? That would be really surprising to me, but it's possible. And yes he was here to troll. I don't know why we thought we had to act all open arms with them after seeing their behavior in the past (we save our real vitriolic anger for other posters, apparently). Even the Patriots fans who were relatively civil at RRF disappeared when the taping of the walkthrough broke. One of my favorites, pinko, came up with a story about needing to go away to have an operation. Apparently he had his hands amputated bc he never returned. This occurrence was enough to ban a manager and GM, fine the team $5M and take away draft picks. The mastermind was allegedly Alex Cora as has been reported. The team the Asstros beat in the World Series was our own LA Dodgers. The following season, the Dodgers licked their wounds, played tough and made it to another World Series, only to run into none other than Alex Cora. Cora now the manager of the Red Sox who also beat our LA Dodgers in the next World Series. That is some real sketchy BS right there. (and sometimes pitched and played first base at the same time.) Circa 1998 in Friday night double header league the Renegades beat us in a double-header. I knew very early in the game that they were using illegal softballs. Legal core I believe was 45. They were using harder core softballs. Harder core balls fly further when struck by the bat. They were clever and had used a knife to scrape the core # off the softball. I quickly brought that to the umpires attention , but the Renegades, being a very mouthy and pushy team, yelled the umpire's initial decision to call the ball illegal down and the balls stayed in play.Being a self-funded team I would walk around the ball park several mornings a week (on my way to work) and collect home-run balls beyond the fence out of the weeds and tall grass. I collected a number of Renegade home run balls and ruined them by soaking them in water. Next double header versus the Renegades I was ready. In Lawrence league to save time the pitcher would carry the opposing team's ball into the dug-out between innings. After first inning the Renegades were hitting one of their own "modified" balls that could barely reach shallow center-field. We run-ruled them both games. They knew something had happened but weren't sure what. They never beat us again. I think we went 16-0 after their cheating. I only used the rigged balls that one double-header. Always had some ready to go, but we had won the mental war. And as Yogi Berra said ball is 50% physical and 90% mental.
