Thx -X- for coming in and clearing the air. I too, read most of the Ram forums, including ROD. I was unaware it existed until I was invited over by Dagonet. I like it, good dialog, and most posters are respectful. Some features I don't understand though. Why a the "likes" feature? And what is the currency for?

IMHO, the ROD site is worse than the PD board. At least with the PD board, you know exactly what they are about.

I got banned forever for arguing that Rams fans should be classier than to attack Bruce Arians in spite and pettiness. Nothing personal toward anyone, no cursing...nothing I could see that deserved such harsh punishment or punishment at all. Worst of all, there was no warning and no communication. I tried and tried to a) figure out what happened and b) to get reinstated. I wanted to be on the board and was crapped on.

So, X can go back over there as far as I'm concerned.

Again, you're still an active member. And when did I take a shot at your profession? 'Black helicopters' is a descriptive term relating to paranoia. You got banned because 13 people decided they weren't a fan of your method of trying to dictate the way the entire board should act or communicate about that particular subject. So if you have a gripe with the process, then blame the process. I simply disagreed with you in that people could describe Arians any way they saw fit, because it was their prerogative and he coached a rival. Don't see why that would matter to you personally.

So, I reject your offer to go back over there. This is now the 4th board on which I post.

I like ROD and I like this board. So I don't intend to burn any bridges. ROD has some good posters and its a good board. I knew Primetime back in his days as Cumby on RRF and 100 Rams fans. He's a stand up guy. Although I don't care much for his avatar. Being a state employee Arnold is high on my most hated list. I won't watch any of his movies. Don't know much about the other mods but they seem ok to me.

This is a board I can see growing into a substantial one. Especially if the Rams move. I assume Elvis is Motes from RRF? He's the one who invited me here. I can see this board slowly growing its membership and I can see it really exploding if and when the Rams move. I like it here and I like it at ROD. I want to able to post on either one. Heck, I was browsing a seahags forum and they had discussion on how some Rams boards were. As expected, they trashed Rams boards but one guy was impressed with the like feature at ROD. He termed it an awesome board.

Well then, the process sucks. None of which explains why I couldn't have been told this years ago. Either when I was getting banned or when I inquired.

And, how on God's green Earth could I "dictate" anything as a poster? And why couldn't a moderator step in and, oh, I don't know, "moderate"? I was banned for an unpopular opinion. Not for personal attacks, trolling or anything against board rules, right? Does that make sense to you?

If you'd(or CGI or a moderator) PM'd me or e-mailed me and told me all of this I'd feel very differently about how things were handled. I wouldn't have liked that you were bowing to mob rule, but whatever. Thanks for finally letting me know that it was because I was unpopular and not because I did anything wrong. At least I don't have to wonder anymore.

Heck, I was browsing a seahags forum and they had discussion on how some Rams boards were. As expected, they trashed Rams boards but one guy was impressed with the like feature at ROD. He termed it an awesome board.

PHPBB (this board's software) has plans to implement that feature, but it's only in development right now.
Probably when they roll out the next upgrade. There are modifications that can get it done, but that's always a risky endeavor.

Sadly, I liked the board too. It wasn't perfect as one had to kind of walk on eggshells and not broach certain subjects, but I liked. Did what I could to remain a member. I guess I'm just too opinionated. Gotta remember, "group-think is really good for conversation".
