He was so sure that it was not allowed.

Been wondering this myself.

The next question is why wouldn’t they make the modern throw backs their permanent road team uniform. If they win the SB in the modern throw backs, wouldn’t that be the look they’d want as their brand? But, alas, you never know with the Rams marketing department. This is a group that is all over the place with terrible looking logos.

I'm not as sure this is the case, could be.

The Rams are doing a lot to connect the '99 SB winning team with this one via the uniform so this may be as much to do with that as anything...

Has anyone on the Rams come out and say they are trying to connect to the '99 team or is that your perception?

From what I have seen and heard from fans in all forms of communication is that there is an overwhelming preference for the modern throwbacks over the bone.

The question I have is do the Rams care what the fans like best?

If they cared there would be no misguided line through our helmet horn.

NFLN GMFB has turned into the Bengals pregame show. Really lopsided coverage.

Kevin Demoff has made it pretty clear they care what the fans want.

If that’s the case, then the next question is do they care enough to make the uniforms that the fans prefer the standard instead of the bone.

The league has a say in when and how often changes can be made. I do, however, think that the team is starting to get the message regarding the fans' preferences.

Yeah, I get that about the timing on changes. I guess I'm not as confident as you are that the team gets the message. Heck, they don't even know what a good logo looks like. The Rams have more logos than than any other team in the history of sports. It's actually comical.

I like the current Ram head logo. The LA logo, which I hated when it was first released, has grown on me (or, perhaps, more accurately, I've gotten used to it).

I don't mind the "modern" takes, as long as the uniforms, as a whole, harken back to the old versions. The royal/sol and white/sol, to my eye, fit that description.
