Yep no way Woods is going anywhere, McVay was pretty complimentary of Hav as well. I think the Rams feel pretty good on the O-line and the run game is number 1 priority.

What does it say that Cooks (injury concerns, big contract) yielded a 2nd round pick, while Gurley (injury concerns, big contact) had to be released?

Does it say something about the relative values of WRs and RBs in today's NFL?

Does is say something about Gurley?

Because Cooks injury isn't "mechanical" like Gurley's. If he can avoid head shots, he'll be okay....or I guess that's Houston's theory.

Why couldn't we get something for Gurley? Because in trading for him they assume his contract......I would think. And other teams were probably doing the same thing Ram fans do when a star with a big contract after a bad season is available. Why give them a bag of balls. They have to release him.

And apparently Atlanta wasn't bidding against anybody....or very few....$5 mil?

If Cooks can stay healthy and there's a 2020 season, he could have a big year. Houston loves to throw deep.

Some people are speculating, probably sarcastically, that the Rams know there won't be a 2020 and are taking the cap hits now to get lean and mean for 2021. I doubt that's serious but it could become a thing if the 2020 season starts to genuinely seem in doubt and i imagine the NFL would have to figure out how to manage what teams would likely do in a situation like that.

Meanwhile Rams make it official:

Well good WRs are obviously more difficult to find than running backs but it actually says more about Bill O’brien.

I’ll say this one more time. He already has a speed receiver who is fragile and cannot stay on the field.

So who in their right mind would trade for another small receiver with an injury history???

It’s absolute insane. This dude is out of control!!

yep, they sure do, and they no longer have hopkins, watson's past favorite deep target.
