But if the argument is he needs great blocking an all pro back gashing opponents for 125 yards every game, well lot of QBs play well in that scenario.

How many play well behind a strunggling line against a top pass rush while down by multiple scores?

On a day where the o-line gave up only 2 sacks and kept Goff protected well enough to throw for 500+ yards, I think it's reasonable to say that the pass blocking was manageable.

honestly, this misguided logic ranks right up there with when you believed mcvay didn't trust goff to throw the ball because goff only averaged x number of pass attempts per game and didn't throw the ball as much in the 4th quarter - iirc you argued that utter nonsense to death too.

Well, which is it? Was the pass blocking terrible or was it good enough for the passing game to garner 500+ yards?

1 sack/35 pass attempts isn't so horrible.

After the 8 games to finish out the 2018 season, it seemed that something happened with Goff's numbers after the bye week. Now, 4 weeks into this season and over his last 12 games, Goff has yet to snap out of his funk.

276/459(60.1%) 3,107(6.7 ypa) 13TD(2.8%)/14INT(3.0%) 77.1 rating with 12 fumbles.

Will the Rams ever get back to the dominant offense that afforded Goff time and open receivers that resulted in gaudy numbers? Or is what they've now done for 3/4 of a season's worth of games more the norm?

I don't think anyone would have guessed that this slump would still be holding on. Averaging 1INT and 1FUM per game is alarming IMO.

Well, if it was so horrible, how did Goff get the time to throw as much as he did? You can't have it both ways. Either the pass protection was adequate enough to help generate 500 yards and 30+ points or it was terrible and he didn't have time to throw.

Like I said, 2 sacks in 70 attempts and not a lot of quick passes or throwaways to mask that number.

Not without effective play action. Or a big change in scheme. Defenses caught up, and without a legit run/PA threat it's that much harder on the lad. As it would be for any QB.
