You are a great Dad which is infinitely more important than any personal interests like football. It is always satisfying to be witness of such a person. And a true blessing that your daughters were gifted with such a great man. After what their mother did them and their family, they really needed that.

Even if you can't watch the game, at the very least you have this Ramily to share what you want in these most magical of times being a Rams fan.

This week, is OUR week!

GO RAMS!!!

Well said buddy!

R4L wrote:Not to be dramatic guys, but i won't be watching. I can't. Let me explain.

In 2002 when the rams and pats were about to play all i heard all week was how the rams would squash them.

All my friends, co workers, the tv and Vegas had the rams winning easily. That worried me. Even Torry Holt said it was "all good" when he learned the rams were playing the pats.

I went to a party, which i never do to watch my team, at my father in law's. My wife at the time stayed home because she wasn't feeling well.

After Warner's pick 6 everyone was razzing me pretty bad so i decided to go home. Only to find my "sick" wife upstairs with the neighbor. She wasn't expecting me home until after the game.

I left immediately so i wouldn't end up in prison and drove around while listening to the game. After the rams tied it up i thought maybe one thing would go right on that dreadful day.

Then of course we know what happened. I go home to find all my rams memorabilia in the snow and my wife was gone. I felt like i was cursed.

It took me about 2 years to get over the whole scenario and it changed the way i watch football.

Needless to say, my hatred for the pats runs as deep as my love for the rams. Although the game had nothing to do with my cheating wife, everytime i see the pats on tv, i think of that day.

I cannot suffer through another soul crushing loss to those guys. This is why the rams must win. My love for the them and the NFL depends on it.

Man... that's a rough story. Sorry you had to go through that.

I get why you are not planning to watch, but I hope you change your mind. There's something to be said about coming full circle. You've already gone 99% of the way around by moving on from a toxic person in your life, raising your kids, and being true to yourself. A Rams win would just be the icing on the cake.

Stay strong.

PS I won't change my avatar because the NFL denied us 22 years of NFL. I won't ever forget the NFL brats' choosing to award Houston over LA an NFL franchise!!!!

I'm for one am glad that Houston got the franchise otherwise the Rams would not be back home!

Yup.

The list of things that happened to allow the Rams to move back is so long its hard to list them all.

One being the Rams losing to this same team in 36. If the Rams win that game, the pressure on StL to upgrade the dome would have been so strong. For those of us who wanted them to return, that loss was a disguised blessing. Not to be revealed until years later.

If the Rams can win this game and have the whole thing come full circle, someday I might be able to watch 36. To date I can't bring myself to watch it.

Go Rams!

hmmmm, good question. And why is the Rams sideline helmet facing the same direction as the NFL logo and Pats logo?

On game day, the Patriots will be considered the away team, and will suit up in the away team's locker room. That's because the NFL rotates between the NFC and the AFC each year. Last year, the Patriots were the home team at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minnesota. This means the Rams will be the home team.

I just looked at Falcon highlights in their house and interestingly they choose to be the home side on the same side the Rams are on so I would imagine their locker room is on that side of the field.

Their logo on the field does not face their sideline also.

The press boxes must be on the visitors side as for the logo to not be upside down during the telecasts.

Wonder what the thought process was for all this.

Probably so that TV viewers can look at the front of the home team, not their backs.
Other than that, it is the South. ;)
