Somewhere in his Hall of Doom lab, Bill Belichick looks up at the TV and pauses for a moment.

personally, as i watched linehan and spags incompetently string together a combined 3 measly wins over the course of the 2008-2009 seasons i remember thinking to myself "why the fuck don't these guys just cheat?", if they had they would have certainly won the nfc west two years in a row, at least.

same goes for my buccos, my pittsburgh pirates, as they gritted out 75 wins and finished second to last in their division with their near rock-bottom payroll in 2017, i remember thinking to myself "why the fuck don't these guys just cheat?", if they had they would have certainly won at least 100 games like the astros.

On the St. Louis sports radio this morning they were talking about Lunhow and how he probably didn’t need to cheat to win. Multiple times they mentioned Belichick and Patriots as an equivalent.

I also agree with this. The WS win should be vacated.

As a Dodgers fan living in Houston I can't tell your the grief I received after the World Series. Now no one wants to talk about it...

Some are even pissed at Fiers for "ratting" them out.

I wonder if Yu Darvish feels vindicated? People kept saying it was because he was tipping his pitches. Whatever the case, I know they wouldn't do it, but I would not want them to award the Dodgers the title. No one wants to win that way. But I wouldn't be opposed to them vacating their title. Although I'm pretty sure that won't happen either. Question is, if cheating helps you win a championship, is it worth it when you get caught later and have to be penalized?

imo, they should vacate their title. That would spotlight their crime everytime someone notices there was no champion in 2017.

In this time where lying and cheating is so prevalent in our society, and minimalized, the consequences of not doing something will only further erode that growing problem. :twisted2:

Not that he necessarily deserves it but Pete Rose likey just lost his last chance at reinstatement as a result of this since MLB will likely distance themselves further from anything 'cheater'.

And the reality is that vacating a title, at least from an organizational standpoint, is far more humiliating a thing that simply losing a World Series. That stain wouldn't ever go away.

The smart play for MLB is to claim the moral high ground on the NFL and vacate the WS in addition to these punishments. I doubt they are smart enough to do that.

Speaking of this thread, whatever happened to that Brady guy and other Patriots fans who descended on this forum pre-SB? I checked out for awhile when the mods refused to recognize that they were just here to troll Rams fans. Was I proven right about that too?
