See thats what I mean about ridiculous statements. Do you honestly think Brees has not played well on the road against a top D before? Geesh.

Of course he has, just like Goff has as well.
The whole "right now" statement is absurd.
Wait for a bad game and it sets back a career? Gimme a break

/zn/ making friends wherever he goes lol. I almost feel bad for him...NOT.

Max CLEARLY said Goff is NOT a TOP 10 QB but could only name 7 who he thought were and on top of that, most of them were seasoned vets lol. Goff is only in his second full year as a starter. Maybe Max is not very good at match. :roll2:

If you think Goff is not a top 10 QB, you need to increase your meds. Max's point\comment was ridiculous and he got called out on it.

Good Ds on the road?
I remember @Jacksonville, @Minny, last year. And @Denver and @Detroit this year. Goff did not play well in any of them.

So tell me when the good ones were?

Roethlisberger had 1st and goal at the Denver 3 yard line and blew the game by throwing an awful pick, then proceeds to lose a home game that he was up 23-7 at the half.
But he is apparently "there"?
I hope Goff never gets "there"

Ever heard of the New Orleans Saints? The team that Goff shredded? Yeah, that team who's defense has only given up 24 points in their last 2 home teams against QB's who are apparently "there" in Ryan and Wentz

Such moving target criticism. Every time Goff achieves something, we hear about what he has not yet achieved.

Here's another stat that I'm sure will be brushed off by those who don't want to give him credit:

The top two defenses in passer rating allowed that Goff has faced this year are San Diego (7th) and Minnesota (8th). The Chargers allow an average rating of 87.4. Goff posted a 123.8. The Vikings allow an average of 89.2. Goff posted a 158.3.

The only "there" that matters that Goff has not yet reached is this one:

and if wentz does well against dallas it means what exactly, that he's "there", is that the idea? even though he's led the eagles to a 5-5 record this season and a 20th ranking in offensive scoring? even tho he put up an average of 14 offensive points against the vikes and saints while losing both games, the same teams goff hung an average of 36.5 offensive points on? wentz gets your nod for maybe being there, maybe not, let's see what he does in dallas, while goff is dismissed out of hand, stamped "not there yet"?

you claim "The whole concept is about where Goff is in his development." but stuff like the above seems to undermine your objectivity.

goff owns a 22-5 record in his new system, and is looking at his second consecutive pro bowl, and second straight postseason appearance, despite being saddled with a defense that has given up a huge amount of points. embrace it.

I see no one who "doesn't want to give Goff credit." I see the entire thing differently. On any given topic there will be a range of views, that is IF it is a good discussion you will, and that is always good. I say let it happen. Forget about trying to make it about the poster and his or her presumed mindset. Discuss the issues.

To quote another poster:
debating your favorite team's strengths and weaknesses, on a discussion board no less, equates to "ruining the fun"? fortunately for the hyper-sensitive there are forums that highly discourage anything other than kumbaya, thankfully rfu isn't one of them.

Wow. You really are the biggest hypocrite I've ever encountered on a forum, and that's saying a lot.

The original poster has criticized Goff by asserting that he has trouble in the cold (pretty much based on one example), that he's not a Top 10 QB, that he's not "there," and that other young QBs, such as Carson Wentz, may be "there." Several people have disagreed and refuted these points, and the discussion has been cordial.

Despite this, you (as seems to be your habit) feel the need to defend the right to post criticism (a right nobody is challenging) and then have the gall to tell others to "discuss the issues."

You Sir, are ridiculous.
