-one barely medium sized market vs small TV market
-hardly anyone living in Tampa is actually from there
-Brady fatigue
-no hype week
-hardly anyone over 40 knew the halftime act
-we were warned the ads would be lame
-boring game

The NFL needs to beg for a rock act at halftime next year.
-Foo Fighters
-Metallica (should have played at Santa Clara)
-AC/DC (Is Brian Johnson back to being okay to perform live?)
-Bon Jovi

I really don’t care about any of it except for the game. I tuned in at game time and just ignored all of the other stuff. It’s not hard.

Its not hard if you mute the TV during the commercials and go for a walk during halftime. I'd rather not have to do those things.

Your repeated criticism of my critical response to the Super Bowl telecast is deliciously ironic.

Plus this was the first year the NFL was on a major level streaming source (CBS All Access): do those viewers count?

Does Peacock stream football? Next years Super Bowl is NBC.

It's still gonna be the most watched show of the year by far.

But by all means let's use 96.4 million viewers as evidence of whatever your particular hobby horse might be...

Is it based on watching the whole game? I kinda was turned off by the laundry display on the field to extend TB drives after KC stopped them in the first half.

I kept thinking to myself there is no way KC will be permitted to win and should I even bother to continue watching

Pretty much all sports were down in ratings over the last year, NFL the least. Plus this game was pretty one sided. Looks like total viewers was down about 5.5% from last year which, again, compared to other sports is actually pretty small...
