Cam Thomas was a gaping liability.

I thought Cam played ok as a backup, but I didn't study his game tape at all. Just wondering Hacksaw, why did you view Cam Thomas as a liability?

Well if you noticed GW eventually pulled him out of the running down rotation entirely.

The reason while lined up next to AD one of the best penetrating and quickest of the snap DT's in the league Cam was the exact opposite. He got zero push, was slow of the snap and got easily turned. This created a massive hole/gap to exploit between AD an Cam. Just let AD get push turn Cam and whammo a huge running lane will open right up the middle. Instead of eating space in front of Tree he created space. Same thing if was in on passing downs the QB had a huge lane to run right up the middle.

Brockers can play the 1-tech next to Donald and get some push. Unfortunately Brockers got hurt and Cam got the early nod as backup on running downs. The experiment failed. GW switched to Easily next to AD. With much better results.

I think later in the season Cam played next to Easily. You rarely ever saw him in the game next to AD.

From the transaction wire today: The Rams retained exclusive rights for DE Matt Longacre and DT Louis Trinca-Pasat. DE Ethan Westbrooks signed his RFA tender. Former WR Stedman Bailey was officially waived.

Will always have a soft spot for Stedman.

The lead player in what is the most amazing punt return for a touchdown I will ever see. Perfectly executed and played.

For sure SWA, he had good hands too. That play is another reason why I like Bones.

Such a shame for his career but how many folks live after getting shot in the head. Studman.
