Many Rams fans have been pining for Hue Jackson. What does it mean if Jackson won't even take DeFilippo? I mean, if you trust Jackson as the OC doesn't that mean you'd want to steer clear of hiring DeFilippo?

The fact that we're praying for Cleveland's castoffs doesn't exactly cheer me up though.

The whole point of this exercise was to improve upon Schottenheimer. Maybe Fisher's doing things out of spite?

No but with a healthy Hoyer, no running game to speak of, only Benjamin at WR and a TE who came into the year with 44 receptions in 6 years(ended up with 79 rec 1043 yards and 9 TD) he had the 15th offense. A guy who can use Hoyer and those limited weapons and get to 15 in offense works for me. Give him Wentz/Lynch/Cook along with Gurley, Tavon and hopefully a couple receivers in the 2nd round and we definitely upgrade.

hoyer? are you thinking of mccown?

under defeliipo (oc) the browns finished:

29th in offensive scoring
28th in offensive yards gained per play
26th in qb rting
28th in yards per pass attempt
26th in pass td %

prior to his cleveland stint, he spent 5 years as qb coach with 3 different teams, not sure how impressive that is, and 2 years as the quality control guy in new york (giants). some like to give him credit for carr's rookie season development, but carr also had olsen and saunders coaching him during his first yer in the league as well... anyway i don't get the defelippo love.

#Browns Hue Jackson: 'Right now I don't plan on having an offensive coordinator' he tells Sirius

Not his fault the Browns let him go, Jackson doesn't want an OC. He's also talking about bringing in Pep Hamilton who is Hue's old friend.

I'm just busting your chops OldSchool, but now we're at the point where Jackson would rather go without than to keep DeFilippo? Egad, how bad is he?

Jackson doesn't want ANYONE as OC. He is going to call plays and coordinate the offense. A big bite to chew when he is also HC. But, that is the Brownies for ya. More inept that even the Rams.

since 2007 (the last year the rams didn't post a losing season), the browns rank higher than the rams in offensive points scored, pass yards per attempt, offensive yards gained per play, and win percentage...

He's young, and he's been the Titans OC for the past two season. Here's his Wikipedia page.

Here's an article that was written right after the Titans hired him as their OC.

He was TE coach for the Chargers for like 8 years prior to getting the Titans OC job. I know aside from Mariotta the Titans have no weapons on offense, even less than we have.

Edit: he was TE coach for 2 years prior to Tennessee and before that he bounced around as a QB/TE coach I believe.
