Who could that be?

Hmmmmm. Let's see, the NFL is embroiled in a relocation lawsuit. The Raiders lost out on a move to L.A.. An official "affiliated with the Carson Project" e-mailed someone in St. Louis detailing a blueprint for a lawsuit. E-mails from Jon Gruden, head coach of the Raiders, surface a couple of years later.

Too far fetched?

Not too far fetched. Please send me the link to the article/source. I have something to ask them

The posturing begins:
-Mayor of St. Louis: her dad was city comptroller in the 1990s. He voted against the Dome and getting the Rams. He warned us about the top tier clause. Now his daughter says she’s not building any stadiums.

-High up NFL source: Doesn’t matter what happens with the trial, St. Louis is not getting a football team “in a million years.”

Kroenke did a great job of salting the earth.

To get an expansion team, they need to find an owner willing to deal with the St. Louis politicos and government entities.

Today:
-St. Louis group filed paperwork to have another deposition with Jerry Jones. Again, seems to be tied to the owner's meeting.
-the NFL filed "motions in limine". Which means they want a bunch of stuff tossed from the case. And even if they lose, the documents would remain sealed and never spoken of ever again. It's like they were never submitted or even existed. Could be text messages, emails, financial records: who knows?

I guess Jerry missed a zero.

From the owners meeting article:
Jones and Pash had a brief back-and-forth, then Jones asked Pash whether Kroenke had tried to settle the lawsuit.

Pash replied that he had, sources told ESPN. Jones indicated that Kroenke's settlement figure was billions of dollars. Pash refused to confirm the figure -- a source with direct knowledge of the situation told ESPN it was less than a billion -- but told those in the meeting that it was more than the net worth of some in the room.

Is there an owner worth less than $100 million?

$1 dollar to those clowns is more than their worth. I hope they are happy getting their pound of flesh. Any owner in the future best beware if this precedent is set. I still think this goes poorly for StL who caused the whole thing to be possible in the first place.
I'm certain that ESK is sooooo glad that he's out of that sh-- ho-- !

Kroenke’s reps said they want to settle the case, and they believe they can for $500-750M. Mediation is set for Tuesday, which they say is likely their last chance to avoid a damaging public trial that is set to start in January.
