PARAM wrote:That could be. It certainly would excite Rams fans (and intimidate opponents) like the Fearsome Foursome did in the 60's.

and no doubt there's a ticket sale angle to this, gotta believe the addition of suh would stir the interest of more than a few rams fans, rams fans who would want to take a gander at a defense that featured donald and suh... and by extension a tv angle, my guess is networks would love to feature this as well.

on top of this, as i mentioned in a previous post, suh is no longer a young pup, yet he's been asked to play a ton of snaps every year he's been in the league, including last season when he played the most defensive lineman snaps for the dolphins and the 4th most defensive snaps for the fins... playing for he rams would allow him to carry less of a load.

He is coming for a visit, he is interested. Suh has made a lot of money over his career, does not have to chase the last dollar. Rams have the money that was not spent on Watkins too. Rams have a chance. Even if he does not sign, the Rams sure have come a long way in the last year in being a team Free Agents are interested in, without having to pay top dollar.

Mah dude is all about them benjamins. We'll dine him in some fancy WeHo restaurant tonight and then we won't hear from him again.

Lots of hype and people are getting carried away. I refuse to get excited.

no doubt, but nflers pay state income tax in each state they play over the course of the year, i.e. suh's full salary wouldn't be subject to ca income tax.

I just want this visit to be over with so we can move forward and focus on more pressing needs like LB. Suh is great for selling tickets, great for generating buzz, great for the media. Would he actually be great for the team.....debatable.

Man....... I've been reading a few of these "wow look at us" posts recently and I gotta say I got respect for all you guys who suffered all those lean (shambolic?) years.

I only became a fan when the team moved here a couple of years ago. So I've only seen one bad season and that was painful I gotta say. Especially when you grow up with the Kobe - Shaq - Phil Lakers, Kings win 2 Stanley Cups recently, all you know is winning. It felt weird to root for a team which had literally no chance. But i made peace with it and thought it is what it is.......... we have a lotta winners in this city so what if he have a losing football team. I sure am glad that was short lived.

It feels more like "LA's" team now that we are a proper contender and people talk about us. You see a lot more Rams hats and Gurley shirts out in the city. It's beginning to feel like a Football town even though we have a long way to go.

We lost a whole generation of fans being gone for 21 years. Seems like most fans are either old timers like me or youngsters just starting out in their fandom. The 30 to 40 year old crowd might need some time to come around. Winning will go a long way to winning them back.

You're right about that. I mostly see "old timers" more than youngsters. Far more. After the year 1 let down year 2 was so important for this franchise. That was the year when it was decided whether the Rams will be the Lakers or the Clippers. I am glad we on the road to be the former rather than the irrelevancy of the latter.

The younger fans will come around because we have a young team and winning is hella attractive. I just hope that a lot of us don't get priced out as the team improves. At least until we are at the Coliseum they shouldn't raise ticket prices. I love going to games at the Coliseum. The whole atmosphere in the old building is something that newer arenas can never replicate.

Anyway, sorry for the off-topic.

9 games in CA and 1 home game in Mexico. I wonder how that works with outside US games

Could easily get there. Cut Barron ($5M), cut Webster who's hurt and now our 4th or 5th CB ($3.5M), convert Talib's $11M salary to signing bonus so 1/2 gets put on next years cap ($5.5M). There's $14M from 3 moves and would put Rams at ~$42M in cap space.

(BTW, I'm talking enough money for a 15-16M/yr contract.)
