Neither would I. On both accounts. I still think RB is a position to bolster in the draft.

I want them to forget about Edge. There's like 4 or 5 good ones, 2 or 3 really good ones. If they went Edge at #19, 1 of those 5 should be there. But I'd rather they get a UFA for that position. OL, specifically JPJ would be my pick. Then fill the other holes. If you look at the QBs, WRs, OTs, Edge, CBs, IOL, TE and DL, there are about 22 guys. There are 7 guys I think we'd hit a home run with IMHO. Odunze, Fashanu, Alt, Verse, Latu, Bowers and JPJ. If those 7 are gone, trade down.

The Rams are always drafting RBs, so solid bet they will again. Also Rookies rarely contribute at RB for the Rams which is why i'm not even remotely writing off Evans. There's a lot to learn and know in the Rams offense for everyone, including RB...

We NEED either Zach Evans or somebody else to be productive at RB2. We CANNOT afford to go in the toilet like we did this year if Kyren goes out for 4 weeks.

Just looked it up, if you're willing to count Sam Rogers, Rams have drafted a RB every single year McVay has been coach...

How so? Stats are comparable. Henry a bit bigger/taller. Any accomplished vet would be good insurance for Higs’ injury.

So…. Needs
QB2
RB2
TE1/2
OC
RG
Poss LT
Edge2
2 safeties
2+ corners
Kicker

Rams have their work cut out for them. Luckily they have the cap space and draft picks to likely get it done. And that is not taking into account who on the roster they think can ascend to a starter or #2 depth position. But they are going to have to be shrewd and lucky.

Could we actually see this team take a step backwards in 2024??

I think they'll be up to the challenge and we won't take a step backwards in 2024. Let's face it, the only "down years" we've had were the result of massive injuries. They could get everything right, suffer some injuries and have a bad year. I don't expect a bad year because of who they sign/draft and put on the field.

A bit older, feel Smith has always been under utilized. Both decent options if the Rams want to add some depth and/or spot starter.

Spotrac has Henry's market value at $7.5M, Everett's at $8.6M, and none listed for Smith, although got a 4 yr $50M contract with NE in 2021 and made $8.5M with the Falcons last year. If the price is $8M, hard pass for me on this year's upper TEs. And no f-ing way I'm taking one in Rd 1 or 2 either. Just my opinion...money needs allocated elsewhere.
