The Rams are for real but they pissed away their best performance of this season. They had it "won" 3 times only to figure a way to let it slip away. Just when I start buying in comes the disappointment. They have a chance but will they get 3 more and will 9 be enough? This game would have put them in control of their own destiny then...POOF...it's back to needing help.

Doesn't Baltimore....the 10-3 Baltimore Ravens get some credit? Rams were 7 point dogs (and I thought that was low). They gave up a go ahead TD, then drove down in under a minute and a half to tie it. They fought. Hard. I'm proud of them. They played well at times and Baltimore played well at times. I'm more heartened by this game, than disappointed. The Vikings barely beat Las Vegas. They're gonna be a 9 loss team....at least. Seattle is still tied with us. Green Bay? We'll see but they're set up well. We just need to beat 3 teams we should beat. Two weeks in a row our offense put up 35 and 29 on the #1 and #2 NFL defenses.

How Green Bay plays the rest of the way really doesn't matter. They hold the tiebreaker over us and they have a really weak schedule. We're in a battle with Minnesota and Seattle for the #7 spot, not Green Bay. In fact, we need Green Bay to play great against Minnesota.

It's the 2nd youngest team in the league.

Here's what the Rams will have next year:
* draft picks
* cap space
* more experienced players. The ones they keep will be seasoned by the experience and sobered by memories of the mistakes they made this season. That's part of each player's mental development, and part of the coaches learning about who they have and how to use them and what each individual player and each unit needs to work on.

PA - sure you give BMore credit. But, championship teams don’t falter like that and make those type and that many mistakes. They will learn from it and it really didn’t hurt their playoff chances all that much. It better build character that leads to more efficient and effective play.

I think they hammer Washington next week. And the Vikings lose. Then we beat the saints and the Lions beat the Vikings. That will put us at the 7 seed.

Sure, that's a plan. But the Lions are imploding. At this point, I'm not sure the Lions will beat the Vikings once, let alone twice.
