The other 6 seasons the Superbowl winner had 4, 5 or 6 regular season losses. Hell the coach with the best record over the last 3 seasons (39-10, .796) hasn't even made it to the Superbowl and he's had one of the best QBs in history. Why? Another preseason Vegas favorite, Tampa lost to a 1-5 team today and yet another, Green Bay lost to a 2-4 team. And those two teams boast HOF QBs. Good teams will lose to teams with winning records but you have to win the games your supposed to win. We've done that much.Actually...now that the Niners are 3-4 that is no longer true but your point is still taken. by PARAM 2 years 8 months ago Total posts: 13219 Joined: Jul 15 2015 Just far enough North of Philadelphia Hall of Fame Turn Out The Lights... Taking a step back I can now see that the Rams are still in good position to win. They just need to make the playoffs, then anything is possible.Over the last 10 years, 4 teams with the best record (or tied for the best record) in the regular season won the Superbowl. The other 6 seasons the Superbowl winner had 4, 5 or 6 regular season losses. Hell the coach with the best record over the last 3 seasons (39-10, .796) hasn't even made it to the Superbowl and he's had one of the best QBs in history. Why? Because he's only 2-3 (.400) in the postseason (2-2 at home). Get to the dance and if you can play the best football of your season at that time, you have a good chance to win it all. Only 2 conference #1 seeds have made the SB the last 4 years and both lost. Been following the horns since the Coliseum had a Roman playing there.
