Take out Cooper Kupp's 18 yard jet sweep and our Yds Rushing Total vs SF plummets to 46 yards from 64.....for a scintillating 1.77 YPC on 26 non-jet sweep carries IIRC.
AND....It's not like Michel and Akers are JAGs either!

Eyeball Test
That Ram OL today had zero push running the ball, and PassPro wise....
5 sacks, 8 TFL, and 13 QB Hits is a pretty crappy performance.
Blame it on McVay, play-calling, Stafford holding the ball too long, what have you....
but the Eyeball Test showed our OL slapped around by SF D front. Sad, but true.

Yeah, yeah...we won 12 games, but we don't win the Division (thanks Seattle!) with that shitshow OL play today......nor host a Playoff Game....had the Seahawks not bailed us out!
Oh, and I know....the NFL is a hyper-competitive league!!!
Here's another one....count our blessings! Here's one:
Joe Buck announced that Matthew Stafford eclipsed the Rams record for most passing yards in a season today. Not bad for a first year guy in the system, eh!

All I can say is, if the we don’t get to the NFC Championship game, then this season is a failure. Trading for Matt Stafford would be a bust, for this season. At least with Goff, he did get to the Super Bowl.

did the oline have a far less than stellar day at the office vs the niners? sure, i'd say it's fared much better.

is that proof that it's not a good oline, not an effective oline, not one of the better olines in the league this season? not imo.

then again, what 2021 oline should we use as the yardstick? one that (presumably) has very few bad days if any i'm guessing, one that's been a rock of consistency in pass pro and run blocking week in and week out - which one is it?

maybe we just look at the 14 playoff teams, where do you guys think the rams oline ranks among these 14 olines? in pass pro, run blocking, and overall? middle of the pack? near the bottom? which olines rank higher?

This was absolutely on the defense. The offense did enough to win. A 14 point halftime lead. A 7 point lead with a minute and a half left and no timeouts like you said. Leaving a receiver that wide open should be unacceptable. When you do that in a game this big its a product of poor coaching.

Look I greatly respect you as a poster A1, BUT...I do not share that favorable view.

Here's another thing I think:
If we still had Jared TwoLeftFeet Goff as QB with this OL, our sack count would be double what it's been with Stafford as our QB. Tell me you cannot see the veteran savvy of Stafford, stepping up and avoiding sacks, like Goff never could. Yesterday our veteran QB got knocked around like a pinata....13 QB Hits, and 5 sacks.

So rather than me name you some random 2021 NFL Playoff Team's OL as the ideal....how about this? I say that there will be at least a 40% change/personnel turnover in the Rams 2022 OL personnel....and probably even more than that. In the end, IMO, McSnead want to keep their dream day jobs, so they will do the "right" thing.....and beef up Los Ramos 2022 OL with some studs.

By every metric the Rams had one of the best olines in the league. They had 2 bad games...Titans and a really bad game yesterday vs SF.

I will say I expected a little more mobility from Stafford. At his age he might be more of a statue then Goff. I believe Stafford had 43 yards rushing this year while Goff had 87. Miniscule difference but Stafford has very little escape ability left in my opinion. He had moments of good pocket presence however a few metrics rated Staff poor against pressure overall. So tough to truly say.
