I would much prefer this.

Adding staff to check the vaccine cards of 70,000 is an expensive proposal: especially in a restricted job market. Telling people to mask up is cheap and easier.

It's a fluid situation but i certainly agree, in principle that a vax requirement is better.

WA state just issued a mask mandate so i assume that will effect the Seahawks and CA is doing vax requirement for indoors.

It's changing fast. Probably no point on locking in too hard on our hot takes just yet...

The biggest issue in my mind is another variant that turns out to be devastating. And it can come from anywhere in the world, likely somewhere in Asia before it gets here, which it would eventually.

That’s a big reason why it’s more important to get the vaccine to other poor countries b4 we spend our efforts on booster shots here in the USA.

Where is the California Vax requirement for indoors information?

I’m vaccinated, but trying to keep up on the states for work event reasons.

welcome to the world of porn workers i suppose, rumor has it they have to show proof of a negative aids test within 72 hours of a shoot.

in other news, my county is "strongly recommending " that restaurants require outside diners to wear masks unless "actively" eating yet seem unable to define "actively" eating... there's no way i'm going to have my staff attempt to police this, the moment a group is seated at my joint they will be considered "actively" eating.

This is obviously so hard to even attempt to police. Most places I have been have been pretty lax once you are seated and have a drink or food in front of you. In Vegas they give you a glass of water immediately so you can take off your mask.

On flights, the airline attendants seem to just walk down the aisle telling everyone to pull their mask up (and not nicely) between sips or bites. Its also impossible to constantly do this - I don't even bother with water or anything on flights any longer.
