You make a good case about the physical talent.

He’s a great young coach, yet there are still people who blame him for Goff. Wonder what they have learned?

Do you still think Demoff and Snead are basically worthless?

Would 2020 have been the same with Stafford? Nope. Goff was a bottom tier QB again in 2020 and Stafford was a top tier QB. As others have pointed out, he realistically could have been good for 4+ more wins last year which would have had us at 14-2 and possibly in the SB.

As far as the OL goes, I think even if they keep the same personnel, Stafford makes them better. IMO, if Goff was having trouble reading defenses, running the offense and making good decisions, that wouldn't have been limited to post snap situations. Stafford will be making better calls at the line and identifying trouble earlier to help his OL out. Not to mention being better at maneuvering in the pocket.

Leave it to Pennsylvania to sniff out my arithmetic faux pas! :oops2: Yeah, I meant 14-2. :idea2:

My excuse? I wrote that post in like 20 seconds at work, as we had the Union President arrived and coming in for the Investigation Meeting/Grievance over a driver (one of their Shop Stewards) that I wrote up on Tuesday.....

Tough for me to concentrate when the Barbarians are at the Gates, eh!!! ;) :arrow2: :lol2:

Elvis wrote:Here's your take after the 2017 draft:

Max wrote:I firmly believe that picking Everett was the start of a bad draft. Not taking Lamp at 37 was symptomatic of what has ailed this organization for years: Inept decision makers at the top. Out of the entire draft, the only pick I liked was Reynolds in the 4th round and it will take him a few years to make an impact especially on this team.

I think we are looking at a 2 to 4 win team. I expect subpar OL play once again, subpar QB play as well. The only question I have is how many games Goff plays before either getting injured behind a woeful OL or inept play.

There will be growing pains with McVay, I suspect, just impossible to say how bad they will be.

I think its gonna be very interesting in LA this year cause the Chargers are clearly the better team. They really helped themselves in the draft. If they are in the playoff hunt as I suspect they will be, then Kroenke is gonna have a very ugly situation on his hands and this time it will be an ugly business situation.

I've said before it's not out of the realm of possibility that the Rams will be in position to take Darnold next year. Now that would be something. Anyway, Snead has done his best to give the Rams a shot at #1 overall.

I expected to also see a "you heard it here first" to qualify that entire post!!

No mention of Cooper Kupp, John Johnson or Ebukam, who despite being a JAG, was a JAG week in and week out for 4 years with some pretty big games sprinkled in. 2 to 4 win team? Whew, screwed the pooch with that prediction!! The Chargers, (obviously because of their selecting Forest Lamp) were the better team. Clearly. :roll2: Except each and every year they haven't equaled the Rams record and overall, they're not close (33-31 to 43-21).

Elvis wrote:Why do you think you were so wrong?

What have you learned since then?

What you've learned, apparently, is just keep talking. Change the subject to Goff. People will forget.

Just wrong about McVay? No mention of Kupp or JJ? That was wrong. 2 to 4 win record. That was wrong by week 7. The Chargers being a better team? That was wrong too. Forest Lamp being somebody the Rams had to draft? That was sooooo wrong. The Chargers intelligent front office selected him #38 and he played a total of 9 games his first 3 years!! But most of all, omitted from what you were wrong about was Snead. You were wrong about Snead and the Rams front office. In a big way. But like you say, everybody is entitled........

Can't wait to read your review of the 2021 Rams draft!!!

So there I am....
I am imagining myself at our FIRST ANNUAL RFU AWARDS NIGHT GALA...

I am at the Podium after delivering my speech about what an Honor it has been to have carried the PWB AWARD 2019, and 2020. I have regaled the RFU faithful with my witty comments....telling old Shecky Greene jokes, doing a little Rodney Dangerfield....

BUT mostly just reminding all about my controversial views about:

The Rams Yutes OL not gelling, but actually Jello (2019);
Aaron Kromer is an idiot & shudda been fired along with Wade (2019);
Tyler Higbee is grossly overpaid & runs like he's got a grand piano strapped to his back (2019);
How Les Snead's 2018 was total Shyte with 11 picks yeilding only one starter Sebastien Joseph-Day (2020)
How Jared L'ilAbner Goff had the leadership flair & charisma of a Pepperidge Farm turnover (2020)

All of these outlandish views above were instrumental in winning me the RFU Coveted PWB AWARD for 2019 and a repeat in 2020.

So here I am, ready to turnover the hallowed PENNSYLVANIA WHIPPING-BOY AWARD to Max.......and there's not pair of waiting hands to accept my Trophy.....and it's been NINE HOURS already!!!

Hey Max!!! Maxwell, buddy....where art thou???
Maxie!!!???
Maximillian???!!

Buehler???!!! :!2: :!2: :!2:

Hey Max...seriously, I met PA twice in St. Louis watching the Redskins pummel Joe Vitt's guys in 2005 and then KC hammering Flounder Linehan's charges in 2006. So honestly....Pennsylvania is a great Rams fan, great family man....a great guy overall!!!

BUT....he never forgets what guys' OPINIONS are!!! I swear....he takes notes!!! :lol2:

So Max....please come out and accept your PWB Award for 2021.....it only hurts the first 12 or 15 times that PA roasts you here in the RFU Forum!! ;) :arrow2: :lol2:

One last thing.....never never ever say anything negative about PA's New York Yankees!!!! :!2: :!2:
....he will scoop your eyes out with a soup spoon!!!! :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

Cheers from Vancouver, BC!!! ;) :arrow2: :lol2:

Is it wrong that, when I read your posts, my brain imagines them being read aloud by Bob and/or Doug McKenzie?

Take off, eh, you hosers!

I’ve been traveling from CT to points south looking for a place to retire. Currently in Bluffton, SC. So I’m answering these stupid posts when I get a chance.

It should be obvious that getting a draft pick wrong is not the same as watching players play in the NFL for several years and getting that wrong. But I dismiss those mindless insults as not worth my time. I’m sure PA is a great Rams fan. Unfortunately, there is nothing that he says about the Rams that I find of value. He’s funny though.

"Getting 'a' draft pick wrong"? Max you didn't get a draft pick wrong, you got the whole freaking draft wrong!!! You were upset they took Everett over Lamp, said nothing about Kupp and JJ and lambasted this regime as 'most likely to be drafting #1 the following year'. True Everett didn't pan out like they expected or they wouldn't have let him get away but he had 86 receptions and 7 TD the first three years while Lamp was trying to stay out of the tub. Unsuccessfully I might add.

As far as not having anything of value to say about the Rams, it's probably because you don't make enough of those "you heard it hear first" statements for me to piggy back on.
