Of course he will.
Some times I think these teams outsmart themselves. Probably could have gotten him for a 5th or 6th rounder and re-worked his deal. Now he’ll cost more

That is the funny part. Teams supposedly didn't want to trade for him because of his contract and there's a good chance his previous contract is gonna turn out to have been a bargain...

I wonder how this affects the Rams with Fowler? I also wonder what other teams might want Fowler and at what price? Are the Rams interested in Houston?

Look at their numbers and ages.. very close. And KC may have paid more to avoid the compensation formula.

Re: Hyde. What does this even mean? If I understand correctly, since he was on the street before FA period, he doesn't count toward compensatory pick formula. And how would paying "more" help out even if he did? Again if I understand correctly, the more you pay to sign FAs, the more it diminishes what you can get awarded.

But hey, stick with the narrative, it’s the easy way to go...
KC will have a crowded backfield and will be interesting if they bring back either West or Ware.
We’ll see about CJ, once the dust clears on LeVeon it should open some things up
Yeah, literally speaking CJ was released twice last year but I don't think that is the perception of him at this particular point. I think he is viewed as a pretty good RB that many probably wonder why he was released by Oakland and Carolina more than they think he's a guy who can't produce, much less stick on a roster.

The three good games he had were eye-openers for most fans and "good" may not be a strong enough way to describe them. Anderson's stock is definitely pointing up as he really bolstered his value.

Hyde, on the other hand, showed once again that he can't stay healthy and is on his 4th team in two years. His reputation is pretty good but the reality is he's a complimentary RB. Never gained 1,000 yards in a season and has been trending downward with his YPA, averaging 3.4 and 3.3 with two different teams last year.

By comparison, CJ averaged 4.5 for Carolina and 7.0 for the Rams(didn't play in his short stint with the Raiders). Neither of these guys is young but CJ is a year younger. Both are quickly approaching 30 so every year counts at this point.

Mainly, the Rams seem to be in a situation where CJ may be relied upon to start some games or at least share the load. Not sure what the Chiefs plan with Hyde. He certainly isn't the clear cut #2 RB on their roster so if he's getting $3M/year, it stands to reason that CJ will get more IMO.

CJ came to a very competent offense. His impressive numbers might have something to do with that. I remember a QB having a similar uptick.
