Is that really a unanimous thing in StL, that nobody wants an NFL franchise there anymore?

I have no solid numbers. My just wild guess is 60% of the fans are done with the NFL here altogether. 10-20% would take a team from another city. 20% or so would take a team but it would have to be an expansion team only. No stolen teams.

Like I said before the MLS team wanted like $50 million or so in public money to go towards the new soccer stadium and it got voted down. The Taylors ended up footing 100% of the bill.

Well my response is that is some ways he was right. What I mean is that I think STL is a nice city with good people. However low crowds, and the crowds that would show up from what I saw were cheering the other team mainly during the "lean or down" seasons. That is NOT what true fans of a team do. You support your team win or lose. Your there for the winning, and yes the loosing years. Look at other cities. Denver, Cleveland, and other cities fully support their teams either way. You NEVER see the majority of the crowd dressed in the other teams jerseys/colors as you I had seen happen a lot in STL during those down years. So when he said hit fans, I think that is what he was talking about. He certainly could have put it better but in that regards he had a point.

The problem in St. Louis is the Cardinals baseball team. In those other ideal cities you listed their baseball team
1) doesn't consistently win
2) doesn't draw 3.3, 3.4 or 3.5 million (pre pandemic) fans every single year.
I think the Rams might still be here if the baseball Cardinals were an average team and drew 1.5, 2.0 or 2.5 million fans like other cities.

I was always bummed by our midlevel support. And I think part of that was due to the fact we had a stolen team that wasn't truly ours. The Rams name should have remained in Los Angeles and restarted with a new identity when they came here. Fucking Georgia.

I also think St. Louis got invaded because it's easy to travel here. We're a Southwest hub so it's a cheap flight. Hotels are inexpensive and it was easy to get to the game by walking or taking Metrolink. Plus we're within a easy day's drive of many markets (Bears, Packers, Cowboys, Colts etc). The seats behind me for a few years were held by a broker and always garbbed up of stubhub by visitors. Pretty much every one said it was almost easier and cheaper to travel to St. Louis than it was to see their home team. Either that or it was a great weekend getaway that wouldn't break the bank.

Not according to Kevin Demoff and all the "fuck St. Louis" emails he'd send to the league offices.

None of that matters in court though or should be part of the trial. But it explains our anger.

I think his comments were more or less towards the leaders of STL, how they failed to honor the contract, and then tried to put it all on The Rams that it was The Rams fault. The truth of the matter is , that is is the fault of the political leaders for The Rams leaving STL. Yet people like you still buy into it being The Rams fault, and blame them for the majority of it. When the truth is again in STL political offices where those leaders failed. Then lied to the public, and you all bought into it. So when Demoff says "Fuck STL" I think it is towards that. Besides you, and others were saying a lot worse before that I am sure, and certainly after. So watch for the falling glass in your glass house.

LMAO, poor excuses really. With regards to the fans that voice they DO want a NFL team, and prefer an expansion team. I see them in forums all over social media. They outnumber those that do not want a team. With regards to the "support" of The Rams. Your attempt at trying to blame people from outside coming in is sad, and pathetic. True fans buy the tickets, and show up. That is all their is to that. With regards to the name Rams. Nah you can jog on, and shut up there. They are The Rams, always have been, always will, and they will stay The Rams. Fuck Georgia ? again jog on. She brings a team there, and yet you say that. Jog on. See what I said about the pathetic fan support there is proven in how when The Rams fist showed up it was Rams fans , team colors in the stadium, during the winning years same thing. It’s the fault of our leaders. It’s our fault for not attending the games well enough. It’s our fault for electing those flawed leaders. We have plenty of blame. Our glass house sucks just like you say it does.

The main screw up is not maintaining the dome, that is all they had to do. Then The Rams would have been contractually obligated to stay. The Dome when it was new was nice, but even back then you could tell it was not a venue really set up for long term oeprations, and when The Rams put forth that plan to renovate it, that was a t least the minimum needed to get it up there. But again the political leaders failed. For the record i never advocated either move from LA to STL, or back to LA. I was neither for it or against it. The Rams are my team no matter where they were based out of of.
