Trying to figure out where to stay clear of as far as renovations are concerned.
Dont want to lose seats or be relocated once purchased.
Does anyone have any insight?

I talked to rams Tickets yesterday about construction conflict and what seats could be potentially impacted.. First off doesn't look like renovations will start until after 2017 season but that's speculative, what I was told they are talking about upper sections rams side 20 yd to 20 yd mostly under press box. very similar to renovation at Rose Bowl. Hope that helps

USC and the Coliseum have a website dedicated to the renovation, but just have a tentative timeline listed.

If you want to avoid any renovations altogether, your safest bet is to sit anywhere on the visitors sideline. But, I personally can't stand the sun so I went off to the side on the Rams sideline hoping to avoid renovations. It's only for a couple seasons. I've heard that once the Rams relocate to the Inglewood stadium we go through this wave process all over again.

I'm just quoting someone I spoke to from coliseumrenovation.com and he stated the suites will go down to the lower tunnel rows (43-44). Renovations completed in 2019.

Renovations will be around the pressbox but the Rams state:

"Due to planned construction at the Coliseum, or for other reasons solely in the discretion of the Los Angeles Rams, purchase of 2016 season tickets does not provide the purchaser rights to purchase 2017 season tickets, or to remain in the same seat location, for the 2017 season or beyond."

So, theoretically, no one is safe. What the practical implications will be, i don't know.

Also Ramboss58 added this:

From what I gathered, the entire stadium is proposed to be renovated. Seats and all. Obviously the seats under the current press box will be directly compromised. They also say the upgraded seats will be more roomy which could mean fewer seats throughout the coliseum. They are advertising that construction is proposed to start in 2018. Nothing seems to be in stone. They are still working on financing and the rendition is what they are trying to sell. It has approval from the commission and that is about as far as it has gone. A one year delay and/or a change in plans is always a possibility. They need 270 mil in donations and additional revenue (Rams) to make the improvements a go. Who knows how possible that is to obtain or if less is available what changes to their plan will take place.

My guess is the next two seasons there won't be a problem. By the end of the second year the Rams say we will be choosing our seats in Inglewood. I can easily live whatever the third season brings. Our Rams are back in Los Angeles. I can live with a little inconvenience with the transition. :D
