I am completely shocked that a businessman like Jerry Jones or Stan Kroenke would make any business decision that would make them money. The next thing you are going to tell me is that water is wet.

But St. Louis is being a bunch of meanies to him. And all those Arsenal soccer fans are just ungrateful schmucks.

I don't know really, all fans invest in a team, and when that team isn't respectable or successful you can expect the fans to gripe. Or worse, not show up.
Unless he did something there that could have damaged the fan base like threatening to relocate or anual sucking, then chalk it up to frustration and/or envy. Or are the league / fans so pure that a Yank owner taints things?

As a Brit coworker explained to me Arsenal fans have long noted for being passionate but huge complainers about everything. He admitted that as a Tottenham supporter he wasn't an unbiased commenter: but his analogy was Arsenal fans are like St. Louis baseball Cardinals fans. Some of the best in the sport, but also annoying and insufferable.

Plus the Arsenal fans bought shares into the team so they have visibility to the financials. They haven’t been happy about the large withdrawals Kroenke has been making and the lack of what the feel are key signings.

I've heard that about the signings.

Investors have a right to be nicked if he's withdrawing substantial amounts from his / their investments. I have to wonder if any of that money got reinvested into SoFi.
His prerogative..

There were talks years ago. It was called the Arbitration process that was called for in the contract that STL signed back in the 90's to bring The Rams to STL. The Rams went through the whole process that was set out in the contract. The contract that STL violated not The Rams. The arbitration process ruled in The rams favor that they HAD in fact followed the contract on their end, and that STL failed on theirs.

Stan used to own pretty much every WalMart occupied shopping plaza in the St. Louis metro area. He’s sold all of them except for two.

Interesting

https://www.latimes.com/sports/story/20 ... an-kroenke

The NFL’s meandering odyssey back to the Los Angeles market inspired enough renderings, blueprints and financial statements to paper a path from Irwindale to Inglewood.

The weightiest document of all was just two pages, a 2012 letter to all 32 teams that read as a keep-out sign to some and a how-to guide to others.

“That memo was written after 15 years of struggles, and maybe some successes, but a hell of a lot more failures,” said NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, who authored it. “We had a pretty good sense of what we wanted at that time.”

I'm pretty sure the NFL never wanted the Rams to leave LA in the first place.
Remember they voted against it but it took the threat from GF to sue everyone for them to capitulate
and allow the move.

They were gunshy after all the shit the Oakland > LA > Oakland > Las Vegas Raiders put them through.

There’s a good ESPN 30 on 30 called “Al Davis vs The NFL”.
-it’s amazing to see Davis progress from a sharp dressed good looking guy to a track suit wearing Emperor Palpatine
-the shows talks about how Davis stirred the shit up and was the impetuous for many team moves or new stadiums.
-Davis drove Pete Rozelle to retire early and maybe even an early grave. One clip shows Rozelle walking to the podium, lighting a cigarette with a match, taking two or three hard pulls, sighing deeply then starting a press conference about the Raiders move to LA.

It’s bullshit the Raiders miracled their way to nearly a billion of free public money in Las Vegas. For all the fan pain they’ve caused they should have been doomed to Oakland Alameda County Stadium until the end of time.
