I don't think that bothers anybody. It's only natural.

But that's just the point. It's very difficult to believe that St. Louis is the right venue for this trial. It should be in a more neutral place.

The very phrasing used by the judge in his decision belies his partiality.

Which is why I suspect that if there’s a trial and St. Louis wins, it will get overturned pretty quickly.

I don't know if they were not willing to do a change of venue for the George Floyd case see no reason that this case should get one as it nowhere near rises to that level.

Unfortunately the hometown judge has 100% control of the case until an appeal can be made after the fact. Most judges don’t want to get overturned on appeal, but I think this clown wants the attention or wear the badge of protector of St. Louis

The judge controls how the defense makes its case and what they say in court?

We aren’t at trial yet, just discovery and motion stage. The argument was probably contained in the initial motion to dismiss

Stopped taking the article seriously after "Rams’ relocation rip-job" described the Rams position.

Oh yeah: I'm like the last person that should be on that jury. They shouldn't even bother to call anyone who held season tickets. That should be a first hard cut.

I don't know about today but there was a time after the move when Stan Kroenke was the most hated person in St Louis. It will be hard to find jurors who don't have at least a little bias against him.
