These guys at the PD are losing it as evidenced by this latest thread...

The average life expectancy of a male in the United States is about 76 years old. Kroenke turns 76 in the year 2023. If Kroenke lives to the US average and gets a stadium built by 2019 he would have four years to enjoy it before he croaks.

I've thought this before. Makes you wonder why cares so much about screwing over cities when he should be trying mend fences. Hopefully he begins repenting by building or agreeing to build a STL stadium.

This is a man who has more money than he know what to do with but just keeps trying to grab more w/out ever giving back. Some rich people seem to have good hearts and use their wealth to do some good on this planet before they go (ie. Bill Gates...) Others (i.e. Stan Kroenke) are trash that will not be missed.]

• BOA approval odds?
Peacock – always going to confident, but never take the legislative process for granted. Thanked BOA for all their work.

• For the detractors – is there something they’re missing on why it makes sense?
Peacock – the bigger picture gets lost. We’re looking for a continuation of payments on the dome to continue and 2/3 of direct revenues from the stadium to the project. Taxes wouldn’t exist without team.

• For 15% investment, there is 85% other investment.

• Arch grounds, NGA, and Stadium is $3B in new investment downtown.

• Re: meetings in NY. Bernie – NFL may have some issues with naming rights $, etc. Based upon convos with NFL, is this a problem?
Peacock – No, owners understand it better now. 3 committees in room. Committees understand these financing. They understand the financing. Not sure if they like it or not. The key still represents the range of the public money amount that has always been discussed.

• Always been told it would be resolved (LA question) in early 2016.

• Been working with the LA committee for a long time.

• Doesn’t see it kicked down the road.

• Peacock has spent a lot time talking to NFL owners. Andrew Hogan hasn’t spoken to any.

• Does Peacock trust the owners? Peacock – if we have a viable plan, he believes the owners will support.

• Does feel their a better understanding of the situation in St. Louis now.

• Still have to have a structure will work, solid financing plan, long-term operational plan.

• NFL owners are still figuring out their process themselves, i.e, town halls, multiple teams looking at one city, etc.
don’t know Stan’s plan. Peacock goal is to put an attractive plan on the table. Tries not to speculate – just focused on putting a good plan on the table.

• Bernie – when questions are raised about fan support, corporate support, how do you counterattack?
Peacock – he thinks the NFL understands. Not hearing many questions about that anymore. Owners know what’s been going on with team and Stan. Understand the level of corporate support in Stl. Fans did a great job at the town hall in St. Louis. Really showed very well. Doesn’t think the Rams aren’t trying to win, see Foles signing, Welker signing, drafting Gurley.
