Soo, how did you feel about madame Ram who who has been rumored to have done just that?

Pre-internet, very little was written about that on the East Coast. I always thought she was simply over her head and the figureheads were the ones truly running the team. Sabotage? Yes, of incompetence. Had they moved to St. Louis and established a firm grip on the NFL I would have suspected a saboteur. One SB caliber team over a 5 year period surrounded by 20 years of very bad teams doesn't indicate deliberate sabotage. It indicates accidental success.

For all the “St. Louis ruined the Rams” talk, let’s not forget that the team was owned and ran from LA for most of its stay here.

Georgia couldn’t get out of St. Louis fast enough. When she could be bothered to come here for a game it wasn’t uncommon for her to be on her private plane before final whistle.

I agree with that part completely.
It was part in LA before the news got around. The dismantling of the team allegedly to support her cash flow habits. The personnel decisions which alienated many fans. The slow decay leading to the announcement of a move and the unwillingness to work with Steinberg or others who were trying to get something done here.
And as much as I know the circumstances around why StL was involved (as was Baltimore) it seemed more than coincidental that the daughter of Miss StL 1929 (or so) moved the team to her hometown.

That was long ago and thank goodness it all worked out. Now we just have to infill the 2 generations of fans that missed out on the experience here.
No need to grease the telephone poles in LA,, yet.

It seemed so odd that she told her kids not to sell the team to anyone who would move them back to LA, yet she lived here and is buried here. Don't get that one at all. But there wasn't much about her I got ,,, other than how good a gold digger she was.

Hack ya got a link for that article? Is interesting if she said that to her kids. For one she knew Stan had first right of refusal. The theory has oft been that Stan planned to move the Rams all along which I have never bought into cause to me I have seen the situation as more organic.

However if she was worried about the team going back and Stan had first right of refusal may mean she knew ahead of time that was his plan. So would be curious to read what ya have and see what I can glean from it.

I have never heard anyone suggest such a thing.

Try other not-so-nice Rams message boards and social media accounts besides this place. There was plenty of it.

I don't think Georgia knew what planet she was on. If John Shaw had told her to move the Rams from LA to Yellowknife Canada she would have done it.

Georgia lived on her own planet. And she was well aware that it was the only planet she had any interest in.
